Ashley Aubra Jones, born September 3, 1976 in Memphis, Tennessee, is an American actress best known for her role as Daphne on the HBO original series True Blood. Making her debut on the episode "I Don't Wanna Know" in the series' first season, Ashley was a recurring character throughout the series' second season. She meets an untimely death in the same season, on the episode "Release Me", and was last seen in a flashback in the Season 2 episode "Beyond Here Lies Nothin'".
Ashley's credentials also include her work as "Megan Dennison" on The Young and the Restless and "Dr. Bridget Forrester" on The Bold and the Beautiful.
Biography
Jones was born in Memphis, Tennessee and grew up in Houston, Texas. She attended Houston's High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA). She graduated from Lamar High School. She is a graduate of Pepperdine University in Malibu, California where she earned her BA degree, studying in Malibu and in Florence, Italy.
Ashley was married to writer Noah Nelson 2002- 2009 (son of actor Craig T. Nelson).
Jones rose to fame on the long-running CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless, playing Megan Dennison Viscardi from 1997 to 2000 and returned for a visit in 2001. During her time on the soap, she earned two Daytime Emmy nominations for the role.
She currently plays Dr. Bridget Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful and has done so since January 2005. The character was born on screen in the early 1990s, but the adult version of the character was originated by Agnes Bruckner and later played by Jennifer Finnigan and Emily Harrison. Jones also appeared as Daphne Landry on the second season of HBO's True Blood.
