Vampires are some of the most powerful supernatural creatures of all, so it takes a certain kind of brave, or a certain kind of crazy, to want to take a shot at them. From Dracula to Lestat, and all the way up to the sparkly lads from Twilight, there’s no shortage of fanged nightstalkers in movies, video games, and books. Fortunately there’s no shortage of Vampire Slayers either. What we want to know is, who do you think the Ultimate Vampire Slayers are? Are they among the ranks of those like Simon Belmont, Van Helsing, or Buffy?
In honor of the release of Konami’s Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, we’re having you assemble the ultimate Vampire Slayer team! Visit the blog on the Castlevania Wikia and submit your team in the comments!Read more >
How about wearing a custom made chain mail made from silver wire tight fitting around your neck and anywhere else you can be sucked dry from? Wearing something on top of that gives you some screen against a preying vampire. It does not slow him down, but he is not able to kill with his first strike.

It was sad to hear that Season 7 would be True Blood's last run, but interesting news has just popped up! In an interview with Examiner, Stephen Moyer (Bill Compton and a producer himself) answered a question about what people are supposed to do in summer 2015 with "I'm not sure about the summer of 2015, but if things go the way I'm hoping there will be something to watch in the summer of 2016. We'll have an announcement about that... soonish."
Could he be hinting at a possible True Blood movie??? If it's actually a possibility, we might have the hope of seeing "True Blood" following in the footsteps of "Sex and the City" and "Entourage" and have its own movie released in the summer of 2016!! We are going to wait for actual confirmation, but…Read more >
The finale of True Blood season 6 left us with a burning question: Is Eric Northman dead?
I want to believe he is alive, but I am really conflicted having to choose between love, logic, or the mind of a screenwriter.
Admit it. We all love Eric Northman. Despite his issues, he really is quite the character. I don't believe that we would accept his death.
He has been the life of the show since his first appearance at Fangtasia.
Riots would break out if he died.
After he started to burn in the sun, the show flashed forward 6 months or so. Eric was not present.
Why wouldn't he return? Because he is dead.
Mind of a Screenwriter:
Make the suspense eat away at the audience.
Make it seem as if he is dead, but then bring him back.

I haven't been peeking the site for a while now, I satisfied my thirst for entertainment watching The Walking Dead, different show, well zombies are supernatural, the setting is Southern, but that's it. I think 'The Walking Dead' is about survival, which gets me back to the point. I know the creators are masters of misleading the fans about the upcoming season, but we have a major death announcement which I think can be taken seriously, it's going to be a final season and season 6th finale rendered a lot of possible deaths that can b confirmed or not.
I think about the following
1) Eric, well he's alive in the books, but he got himself in a pretty perilious situation, and unless he cannot dig himself into the rock, he will suffer a fiery dea…Read more >
We were excited to hear that one of our favorite True Blood characters, Lafayette Reynolds, was getting a new boyfriend in Season 7, but we're very curious about who's going to get casted! According to TV Line, a casting notice went out looking for someone described as “a cross between Jim Morrison and James Dean." The notice goes on to say, “This brooding and insanely good-looking vamp is a compassionate protector with a poet’s edge.” True Blood is looking for an actor in his 20s who’s comfortable with performing sex scenes with another man (Lafayette).
Ummm, yes?! While the casting is happening, how about fan casting our own Drake for Lafayette? Check out the top 10 list now to vote for your favorite or to add an actor you think would be pe…Read more >

I found 3 major spoilers for true blood season 7
1. Taras mom will have a larger role than before
2. There will be a major death in episode 1 of this season
3. The Hep V vampires are different from ordinary ones, they are actually weaker and must feed on more blood than a traditional vampire
There were also the spoilers of Eric getting a new love interest, which I posted already and it was stated that warlow was going to come back stronger, however this was a mistranslation which made me so so SO angry

Top Favorite and Least Favorite lists have always been an interesting way to decipher opinions.
When it comes to True Blood, I don't like any of the useless romantic relationship material as most of that is just used as a device to lure audiences into liking the main vampires, which doesn't hold any moral or psychological conflict on the battlefield. The only vampires I like are also the ones who die in the process of maintaining their beliefs. I prefer almost all the antagonistic characters in True Blood and the ones who die with their beliefs as opposed to succumbing to equal rights. I strongly dislike most vampires in the show and love the evil humans who try to take them out at all costs. The humans prove that even without "powers" they…Read more >
Just a short paragraph and I know some people are like drop the subject, whats done is done, give it a rest, etc, etc, etc, but I feel I have to say it. Basically I truly believe that warlow wanted the true death. And I have some facts to back it up.
1. He told sookie he wanted to get back to the start, and a way to do that would be to die and join the faerie afterlife. Creating a fae vampire bride would bring him back to the start of happiness, yes, but so would his death.
2. He told Niall he constantly struggles with the dark aspects and them being wordly, he obviously wouldnt take his own life and wants worldly pleasures despite killing his parents, his tribe, lilith, the faerie night club and sookies parents. Thus the light side of him m…Read more >
Basically this blog is about things that I would like to see happen in season 7. Nothing about the main plot because I know the writers will most likely disappoint, but little things on the side. Minor things that I want taken care of or gone. So more of the focus can go to the main plot. Well here we go:
- Andy and his daughter: I think it's time for them to go. Andy has gone through a lot. He was a bigot, a drunk, a V-Addict, a responsible sherrif, and now a father. So his character has gone full circle. Risen above his faults. It's hard to think of what else could be done with his character other than protecting his daughter from vampires. And if Louisana has the most vampires of any other state . . . why would you want to have your half fa…

I bet only few dedicated True Blood fans read any blog posts here right now, but I kind of have relaxed feeling of True Bloods end. I will never read the books for the stories are too similar(yet totally different) but I probably like the show too much and should spend time elsewhere.
I think True Blood has set some new standards in vampire TV series and it has been for me at least a very much welcomed alternative to a more teen and coming of age oriented audience as "The Vampire Diaries" or "Twilight". I liked Alexander Skarsgard how he once dogded a question being asked what he thinks about the Twilight cast(Pattinson and co.), He simply answered: "They are cute!". did somebody notice that until season 5 we had had Hoyt coupled with Jessica, he was somewhat older but since he grew up a momma's boy, he quickly became the butt of couple. Jessica has been in the process of maturing, she has been turned in a very young age (I wonder how Deborah Ann Woll born 1985 fakes the youth of a 17 year old). She can hardly develop within that relationship. Hoyt has been kind of a desperate character not the pristine example how males should act to be treated with respect in response. Yet he had enough mind in him left to recognize he needs to leave to further mature himself(especially get rid of his mum).
Now that Hoyt is gone, and Jason is coupled with Violet in a very one sided relationship, he seems to have i…Read more >

Dear fellow blogsters,
although I was looking for some background info about it, I did not find anything about the differences between vampires from the books and series alike.
Do the books feature how a True Death occurs? There seem to be major differences regarding the scope vampires' healing abilities. I did not read them and since I watched the show I would not draw as much enjoyment from them I guess and therefore I hope some of you come forward with some details.
One example: The Texas king is wounded and his wound will take 10 years to heal. The Louisiana Queen lost her legs.
I thought vampires regenerate them by consumption of blood. Nothing similar has been displayed in True Blood, and I guess it would not be cheap to produce such a s…Read more >

As the 6th season comes to a close and we fare well the folks our favorite little sleepy town of Bon Temps for another year. As we do so, its hard not to wonder what has to come in the seventh series. We now know that creator Alan Ball has left the series and the slate has been wiped clean. That there, has me really wondering. With the Warlow storyline all neatley tied up. It was really interesting to see that he could have a softer side and did have REAL, GENUINE love for Sookie. Although to me, it seemed that the storyline was a little rushed. I honestly think it would have been better to take the story line over to series 7. Instead of staking him, send him back in to the portal he came out of. You could still wipe the slate clean and b…Read more >
I need help with this because I have had a hard time understanding... How did Eric enter the Faerie Plane at the end of 6x08 to get to Warlow? Other people told me that Adeline probably helped him get there but in the finale Adeline didn't even know how to use her light. Any explanations?Read more >
Did it bother anyone else that daywalking ability was erased with Warlow's death? Don't get me wrong, they needed to get rid of it otherwise the vampires would be too powerful. That's a no-brainer. The ability shouldn't have been permenant in the first place. Just longer lasting than normal Fae blood. So they needed to get rid of the ability but the way the writers did it was very crude.
The writers used such a crude mechanism to get rid of the Daywalking ability. It made no sense that Warlow's death would nullify the effects of his blood. Here's why:
- When Eric drained Claudine, he was still able to walk in the sun for at least an hour before the effects started to wear off. Proving that a Fae's blood retains power for some time after death. …
I did not pay attention to Eric's scene, but sometime later it struck me, who wrote that scene and what did they smoke? I do not dislike it, but I kind of cannot stop laughing about it.
Eric can now really say: "Help, my dick is on fire!".
Will he carry a big torch for Sookie next season? :-P
I'd rather you don't chew too much on that.
PS: Pardon me, but True Blood elicits sometimes this prematurity within me :)Read more >
What did you think of Tara's last scene with her mom? The reconsiliation seemed a little creepy to me as if she would pull a stake while her daughter was distracted feeding. I don't know about that, but there are already rumours that she will infect her daughter with Hep V, in her possibly insane view, to kill this abomination and redeem herself for Jesus, some nonsense like Sara Newlin. But I doubt that: I think True Blood writers are aware of this Wiki and have been doing a pretty good job misleading and deceiving us, example given: the trailer for radioactive. Who did not think Reverend Daniels talking of vampires was rather in the middle of a hate speech than anything else.
As for Tara: reconsiliation can mean she might grow in characte…Read more >

Rob Kazinsky gave yet another indication that Warlow is going to lose it, and let go off his monstrous vampire side in the final episode:
“This guy’s a timebomb if he goes off. It’s not just scary, it’s cataclysmic,” Kazinsky told the Herald last week. “He’s an incredibly powerful vampire, and as a fae, he throws fireballs. He can take what he wants, but he’s trying his best to be understanding, to be a good guy, to make her love him of her own free will. She has a choice, and he’s given her that.”
“He’s an addict. He can’t fight his nature and he can’t fight his natural cravings. Unlike a junkie, he doesn’t just have a relapse, he has a bloodbath. It’s not just one person, he has to drink 10, and he can’t control that side of him.”

I read about an interview Rob Kazinsky that season finale is very dramatic with multiple deaths. To me, this is strange because we lost so many people so far. I just can't imagine who else we're going to lose. I wonder, who else is getting the axe.
Personally, I feel like Jessica and Eric might be die from rumours. This is my reasoning for each character.
Eric might die because Alexander Skarsgard could possibly want to branch out and do other big projects.
Eric has been featured a lot less than usual. He is still central and crucial; however, no where to the level he was in Seasons 2-4. Even Five, these give me reason in believing he will get the axe. Although, the rumours could just be a tactic to throw us off. Quite possibly, there could a…Read more >
Having read entries from fellow bloggers here and seen the daywalking capabilities of vampires, I think True Blood becomes a little unbalanced, vampires by nature are physically superior to humans with the exception of UV light and silver.
Just to have mentioned it: Staking, Fire, Decapitation kill Humans as well so these are not really weaknesses unique to vampires. Even UV light and silver in high doses will harm humans though not as fast as vampires. Silver poisoning can alter the skin and renders you highly prone to sunlight. It turns your skin into an ugly blueish color. This effect is so far thought to be irreversible.
Season 6 features daywalking vampires, which I rather dislike, now True Blood vampires are almost too powerful, and th…Read more >
Charlaine Harris finished her commitment to her novel series. Leaving many fans with her last novel disappointed she reported many rather unpleasent bouts with zealous fans who's behaviour ranged from immature to severely in need of counselling. We all know that Lilith found Warlow's blood delicious, so it would only be logical to assume that she had a bite or two out of him even after he was turned. That should mean that she acquired daywalking abilties. However, considering that Warlow ultimately killed her by exposing her to the Sun, I think this ability wore off after some time.
We already know that vampire blood wears off humans after some time, and fae blood wears off vampires after a while. Could it be possible that hybrid blood might also wear off all the current daywalking vampires after the "time-jump" that Brian Buckner spoke about happens?

So who do you think will be the Season 7 Villian? I am kinda hoping they will finally give Queen Mab her day and the final storyline she deserves but who knows with these writers. I was kinda thinking it may be reverend daniels due to it showing him talking to all the people of Bon Temps. Again we don't know yet who it will be but the writers did state that the Season 7 Villain will be revealed in next weeks Season finale.

So, in the latest promo for the Season 6 finale , Jason is shown carrying an unconsious Sookie back in her house.
There are also scenes where Jason, Bill(whom I believe will no longer have his Lilith-powers, because the synopsis mentions something about him paying a cost for salvation, and what better cost than losing Lilith's godlike powers) and Violet interract with Andy and Adilyn. In that scene, Violet(predictably) almost loses control when she gets a whiff of Adilyn's scent. I believe that this scene indicates that Jason will convince Andy to let bygones be bygones, and allow Bill and Violet to drink from Adilyn in order to enable them to enter the fae realm to rescue Sookie.
The reason why Sookie would need to be rescued is this: I thi…Read more >
== So we find ourselves at the end of episode 9 with Eric flying away from Pam who shows fear in her eyes as well as her voice that Eric is leaving and who knows when he will be back.
All I have to say is the writers better not take him out of the show, if they do they will be making a big mistake and honestly it doesn't make sense for his character. I realize that he would be upset because of Nora dying but I would think that his love for his family is so important for him that it doesn't make sense for him to run away from his responsibilities as a maker. You would think he would heed Nora's wishes that Eric take care of the family he has left. Some may say he has already released Pam but it is obvious she still loves him and needs him, t…Read more >
Okay. Let me Rant. I found this episode to be honest "ok"
I found it be highly predictable. The way Billith realized he could use his blood to give them. Dr Overlark's and the psych's death. Eric leaving and Bill almost dying and being saved.
However, I absolutely loved the funeral. I found it refreshing how they dealt with it. The actor's really shined. I loved Carrie's and Chris's performances. They were so moving. Also, crying Sam always gets me bad. Overall, one of the most beautiful scenes in the series so far.

So the rumor that Alexander Skarsgard is leaving True Blood after Season 6, continues to float around. Personally, I hate to think about this- but face it, maybe we should all brace ourselves for the worse.
Recently when asked, Kristin Bauer van Straten said of Eric's departure: “It’s a fear of mine for a couple of reasons."
“I love being around him,” she continued, holding back her emotions.

I enjoyed this episode "Life Matters" and Terry's funeral was very touching. I knew that Eric was going to seek his revenge and although I liked Steve Newlin and his comical ways, I knew that he was going to die. I knew that Eric was going to get him for being a snitch and traitor. But, I was disappointed that Jason let that crazy Sarah Newlin go! I was so sure that he was going to kill her. The two oldest vamps that have physically appeared on the show square off against each other in this hypothetical match-up.
For purposes of fairness, Russell is given a small vial of Warlow's blood before the match begins so daytime is not an encumbrance on the fight. Both vampires are fully fed and at 100% strength. They can use all their abilities shown on the series so far. Outside interference is not allowed.

However, in the previews for the latest episodes, Eric is shown to be able to easily crush that steel cage by hurling some sort of large object at it.
Does this imply that Warlow's blood not only made him immune to the sun, but also vastly augmented his physical strength? Does this mean that faempire blood can amp up regular vampires in ways that ordinary faerie or halfling blood can't? Or is this seeming boost in power simply the result of Eric draining almost all of Warlow's blood? And if that is the case, would that put him on the same level power-…
