"The vampires that they're arresting, they're not taking them to jail. They're... studying y'all. Your biology, your psychology, your physiology, stuff like that, it's sick!"
―Willa Burrell[src]

Burrell's Camp, commonly known simply as Camp, was a highly secured secret facility on the HBO original series True Blood. Owned and operated by the former Governor Truman Burrell, Burrell's Camp is a facility that was made by radical anti-vampire humans to perform clandestine, inhumane experiments on vampires. The facility was constructed by vampire-hating humans, using money that was said to be for the highway system, without the knowledge of the general public or the majority of the U.S. government. Although its exact location is currently unknown, the camp and its employees serve as the main antagonist throughout much of the series' sixth season.

Season 6[]

"The Sun"

Eric Northman is standing outside Governor Burrell's mansion taking watch when he hears a human man walking down the street, stating he has a meeting with the governor at 5:30. Eric immediately attacks him.

Eric talking to Burrell

Inside the mansion Willa Burrell is walking into her father's office who happens to be on the phone. She tells him that she wants to go out which he says no to. She lets Eric, who is disguised as the man who was actually supposed to have the meeting, into the Governors office. He pretends he is there for a bill about the extinction of the whooping crane. The Governor says he hasn't had time to look at his bill because of all this "vampire business". Eric continues to prod the governor becoming more and more rude as he speaks making it obvious he is no longer talking about whooping cranes (he is using the cranes as a metaphor for vampires). Burrell sits back behind his desk and tells him to cut to the chase when Eric jumps up and glamours him. He tells Burrell he needs to stop his persecution of vampires, he will reopen all vampire owned businesses and he now loves vampires. Burrell calls his guards and begins to laugh in Eric's face. The failed glamour attempt shocks Eric. Burrell tells him that he has created contacts that shield against glamouring. He tells Eric of some of the new ways they have learned to thwart vampires and tells his guards to take Eric to "Camp".

Eric is outside the Governor's mansion, being escorted by the group of guards to a van. He asks them if they are going to read him his rights. They state he has none. He flies away from the scene, surprising Burrell's guards.

Willa Burrell is taking out her anti-glamouring contacts as she gets ready for bed. She realizes she needs to shut the window when Eric flies in and glamours her to let him into her room. ("The Sun")

"You're No Good"

Eric is glamouring Willa and tells her that she will not scream as he kills her. He stops glamouring her to begin draining her when she speaks up quickly saying she knows things about her father and the "experiments" he is doing on vampires. Eric hears men coming up the stairs towards the bedroom so he grabs Willa and escapes back through the window before the Governor's guard even makes it to the bedroom.

Eric enters his former bar Fangtasia and introduces Willa to his progeny Pam and Pam's progeny Tara Thornton who are not thrilled to see the Governor's daughter in the bar. Pam insists that she be killed, and Tara insists that she be glamoured and sent back but Eric tells them both that he needs information from her. Eric begins to try to glamour Willa but she stops him saying that he didn't have to glamour her because she is as sick about it as he is. He asks what she knows and she tells him that her father has been arresting the vampires but not taking them to jail, instead, they are studying the vampires, everything about them and torturing them in order to find it out; also her father had been using government money to fund his immoral experiments illegally. Eric then asks Willa where this "Camp" as her father calls it is but Willa swears she doesn't know. The three vampires then take Willa with them, away from Fangtasia.

Eric and his vampires arrive at the house of a human employee named Ginger. Ginger invites them into her home. Eric announces that he and Willa would be sleeping in the coffin bed and Pam and Tara will be sleeping in the cubby.

While sleeping, Eric's phone rings and Ginger picks it up, it is the Governor wanting to speak with Eric. When Ginger answers the phone, Eric answers and tells the Governor that he won't put Willa on the phone. The Governor acts like he will resend every anti-vampire command, but Eric knows this is a ploy, he tells the Governor that he will untie Willa. But meanwhile, he glamours Ginger to stall and to forget they were there. Eric, Pam, Tara and Willa escape.

At the "Camp" we see a vampire cuffed with silver and a black bag over his head being pulled from a van by two SWAT team members. They bring him into a room and pull the black bag off to reveal the vampire to be blood tear soaked, gagged Steve Newlin. Steve threatens the doctor, who basically laughs at him and has the guards re-gag him. Later on, Steve Newlin gets a visit from his ex wife Sarah Newlin. At first, he thinks she is there to save him but she finds that apparently she didn't fall too far from their old views of mayhem and destruction to all vampires and that she works for the facility in order to push her anti-vampire agenda. She reveals to him that her plan is to eradicate the vampire race and says it's perfect that Steve is a vampire now, just as the doctor returns to the room. Sarah leaves and the doctor asks Steve to tell him everything he knows about Eric Northman with some persuasion. ("You're No Good")

"At Last"

Ginger`s house

Ginger's house.

Ginger continues a phone call with Louisiana governor Truman Burrell, lying to him about his daughter Willa's location at the behest of Eric Northman. Truman's men attack her house, blasting smoke from a silver compacted grenade under her front door. The door is then busted open by the SWAT team and Burrell and his men enter the house, causing Ginger to become hysterical. Upon learning that Eric and Willa are no longer in Ginger's house, Truman has Ginger abducted and taken to one of the "camps" he uses to experiment on vampires. Enraged, Truman punches a hole in the wall, badly injuring his hand in the process.

Meanwhile, Eric takes Willa to a place where he digs a grave and begins the process of making Willa a vampire, with the hopes that Truman will finally begin to see the vampires in a human light if his daughter becomes one. Having awoken from their sleep, Eric calls in a donor to feed Willa for the first time. Willa is excited by her new life as a vampire, but quickly becomes upset when Eric reveals that he is going to send her back to her home, so that her father can see that she is not a monster and that other vampires are not monsters either. Willa protests and accuses Eric of not caring, but Eric insists she return home, and eventually commands her to go.

Governor Burrell is revealed to be in a sexual relationship with Sarah Newlin, an anti-vampire politician who wants revenge on her ex-husband for abandoning her. Sarah tells Burrell that she needs to talk to him, but is interrupted by a knock on the door. An uneasy guard states that Willa has returned home, but that she had to be invited in.

Willa comes into the room covered in blood and dirt, but Truman still acts loving towards her. Willa tells him that he needs to end his vendetta against the vampires, disband the LAVTF and shut down the vampire experimentation camp. When Truman brings his bandaged hand up to touch Willa's face, the young vampire is overcome with bloodlust and attacks her father. Sarah shoots Willa, and demands that Truman send her to the camp. ("At Last")

"F**k the Pain Away"

Eric2345

Eric shoots a fellow vampire as part of the camp's tests.

Eric and Tara are separated as they enter the camp but Eric whispers to Tara to find Pam before he is taken away. Eric is then put into a white circular room with three other vampires. They stand on four red X's as blue bouncy balls are dropped from the ceiling. It quickly becomes apparent that any vampire too slow to catch a ball will be shot immediately, eventually laving only Eric and a woman still alive. The pair are then forced to shoot at each other, and Eric wins the confrontation. He is sent into the general population, but is unable to find information in regards to Pam's whereabouts.

Pam is escorted into a therapist's office, where she is asked to tell the therapist about her feelings. She is initially resistant to the therapist's attempts to speak with her, but the doctor tells her that she can either comply and answer the questions honestly, which would allow her to drink human blood, or she can lie, and be forced to drink watered down Tru Blood. He begins asking her questions about what value she places on life, both that of human and vampire. She answers that she cares little for either. Pam's answers satisfy him, and she is allowed to feed on a willing donor named SomChai.

Truman Burrell is met by Sarah Newlin at the vampire camp and is brought into a room with a two way mirror, showing into another round cell. Sarah reveals that her ex-husband, Steve Newlin, has given the LAVTF a wealth of information that would prove to be in the Governor's favor. Truman speaks to Eric through an intercom and reveals that he has sent Willa to the camp, much to Eric's disbelief. They then open a door in the chamber, revealing a wooden stake. Eric picks up the stake and tells the Governor he has no problem killing more vampires. The opposing door opens, revealing that the Governor wants Eric to fight Pam. Pam and Eric freeze in a state of shock, initially refusing to fight. ("F**k the Pain Away")

"Don't You Feel Me"

PamAndEricAnimation

Pam and Eric levitate.

Eric and Pam face each other at Burrell's Camp, with Truman Burrell, Sarah, Steve Newlin, the psychiatrist, and Dr.Overlark watching on the other side of a two-way mirror. At first they are reluctant to fight. Pam asks if it is true that Eric had made a new vampire and he tells her he has. They start to levitate and appear as though they are going to strike each other. They, however, fly past each other and open the vents where armed guards are hiding. They pull them through the slots and kill them. They stake one of the guards through the two way mirror creating a hole. Eric looks through the hole and sees Steve Newlin, learning he is responsible. Guards then come and separate them.

Governor Burrell comes into a holding cell with Eric who is caged and his hands bound. They argue back and forth when Dr. Overlark comes in with a bottle of yellow liquid. Burrell tells Eric that he will pay for taking his daughter away. Since the resident psychiatrist has a crush on Pam they cannot use her. They cart in Nora and inject her with a new strain of hepatitis (Hepatitis V) that is fatal to vampires. They leave Eric alone to watch his sister die.

At the vampire camp, Jason is meeting his new bosses when Sarah Newlin enters the room. She is shocked but pretends not to know Jason and asks to speak to him alone before signing off on him. Everyone leaves the room and she demands to know why Jason is there. He tells her he aims to go in and get Jessica out and if she does anything to stop him, he will tell everything about their relationship and ruin her relationship with Burrell.

Burrell visits his daughter Willa in her cell who demands to be put in general population. Burrell claims he has kept her segregated to keep her safe. She asks him if he really cares so much about her then he will place her in general population with her own kind. Burrell states vampires are not her kind and he will find a way to "cure" her. Enraged, Willa tells her father he is trying to play God and if he is not going to cure everyone then she wants no part. She adds that she is going through many changes she can't understand. That's why she needs to be with her own kind, to learn how to be a vampire.

James is first introduced to Jessica at the vampire camp secretly run by Truman Burrell. In order to convince Jason he made a mistake, Sarah Newlin makes him watch the "Copulation" study. A male vampire prisoner is standing alone, when Sarah signals to bring in the female for the study. The female turns out to be Jessica. She asks the male prisoner's name and he replies his name is James. She then asks what they are supposed to be doing and James reveals they are supposed to have sex. Jessica admits she technically is a virgin which causes James to get angry stating that Jessica is a good person and that she doesn't deserve this. Sarah instructs the guards to set a UV light on James. Jessica screams for it to stop and says they will do as they are told. She begins taking off her clothes but James refuses. Sarah has him burned over and over, before telling the guards to take both subjects back to their cells. As they are being taken Jessica tells James her name.

Burrell is sitting in his backyard with security when Bill comes walking in. They tell him to stop and open fire when he bares his fangs. Bill allows all the bullets to hit him as they have no effect. With his new powers, he makes them stop firing, aim their weapons at each other and shoot, killing Burrell's entire guard at once. Shocked, Burrell asks Bill how he is in the sunlight. Bill ignores him and asks him where the camp is because his daughter is there. Burrell claims to know nothing and tells him that his daughter is gone too so he doesn't have anything to live for and he will become a symbol for the cause. Bill asks what the cause is and Burrell answers the extinction of the vampire race. Bill bites Burrell's neck. Burrell tells him that he can rip off one head but another will grow back in its place. Enraged, Bill rips off Burrell's head and screams he shall rip the second head off too.

Tara sits with Willa playing connect four when Willa gets a sick feeling. Tara reveals to the newly turned Willa that Eric is summoning her and she needs to go to him. Tara teaches Willa how to glamour, and Willa gets the attention of a sleazy guard asking to speak with him alone under the pretense of sex. Eric is watching Nora weakening as the door to their cell opens. Willa and the glamoured guard come in and attack a woman doctor who was watching them. Eric puts on the guard uniform, Nora puts on the doctor coat, and they begin their escape. Eric says they must get Pam before leaving the Camp and Willa insists they get Tara and Jessica as well. As they hit a door Eric tells Willa and Nora to wait there for a moment. He goes ahead on his own and finds the part of camp that is producing the Tru Blood. Eric looks around seeing the Tru Blood being laced with Hepatitis V. A doctor sees him and thinks he is a guard tells him that the general population batch was almost ready. Eric asks if the entire batch is contaminated, the doctor tells him it is and they aim to serve it to all the vampires within the camp. Trying to maintain his composure, Eric heads back to where he left Nora and Willa stunned by what he has just found. ("Don't You Feel Me")

Eric and Nora escaping vamp camp

Eric returns to where he left Nora and Willa. He announces to them that they are putting Hepatitis V into all of the batches of Tru Blood being made in the facility at Burrell's Camp, and it was not only being served to the vampires within the prison but some were also to be shipped out for public sale. Seeing he has no time to waste, he tells Willa she must stay at the camp and warn the others to not drink the Tru Blood and he carries Nora out managing to escape on a leaving contaminated Tru Blood Semi. Jason is there with the guards to put the place in lock down as they find that Northman has escaped. Willa, still disguised with the nurses jacket, walks through the camp using the nurses severed hand to use the doors. She finds Pam in solitary but she is not chained up and Pam admits its because the resident psychiatrist likes her. Willa tells her Eric sent her and told her to not drink the Tru Blood because it has Hepatitis V inside it and explains to her it's a new fatal strain. Pam tells her to tell only Tara and Jessica about the Tru Blood and no one else to make sure the humans don't realize they have caught on to their plan. Willa asks if Pam needs help getting into general population and Pam tells her to just get herself back to general population and she will get herself out of segregation. Willa leaves and dumps the doctor jacket and severed limb before sneaking back into general population.

Sarah arrives at Truman Burrell's house to find the front empty which was unusual. She walks to the backyard and finds Truman decapitated and his guards dead. Sarah tells Truman he shall not die in vain before calling over a senator she knows from having worked with him before. She proposes he gets his "fixing" man to come and cover up Truman's death. She devised they claim there was an attack and that Burrell is now doing his work from a secure secret location. This way Sarah would have full control of the camp and the senator can take over Truman's political side just long enough to have the hepatitis V strain spread through the vampire population which she predicts wont take long.

Jessica and James at vamp camp

Jessica is taken by a guard to a conference room where she finds Jason there dressed as a guard. He tells her he is there to save her and hugs her tight. He admits he was there during the copulation study and it was sick but Jessica tells him he doesn't need to get her out of prison that she knows how it's going to end and she is okay with it. Jason tells her she will never suffer again but Jessica tells him that's not the world they live in and if there was anything he could do it would be to keep on living and perhaps one favor. Jason says of course he will do anything and she asks if she can see James because she would like to thank him for his kindness. Jason tells Jessica he will go get him.

Jason brings James into the conference room and Jessica asks Jason to leave them alone. Jason leaves and Jessica admits to James that before she came in the camp she did the worst thing in her life and then he burned instead of having sex with her and she asked him why. He told her he doesn't think he is a saint but he has managed to keep his humanity. He also reveals they broke his fang for not having sex with her but he says it's fine. Jessica reveals to James they are going to die in the camp and also to not drink the Tru Blood. The begin to talk about what they would do if they survive this. Then Jessica proposes having sex with James because if she is going to die she wants to be with him and she has also never had sex with another vampire. They make love on the conference table.

Pam in therapy

Pam meets with her psychiatrist and he begins to bring in SomChai but Pam tells him she is not hungry because she is horny. Intrigued, the psychiatrist probes her further on her sexual desire and Pam begins to manipulate him sexually as she talks to him. She eventually tells him she will have sex with him if he puts her in general population. He tells her he can do that for her and they have sex.

Jason is standing outside a room when Sarah walks up with some guards. She tells him the governor is dead so all the leverage he had on her is gone. The guards overpower him and grab him holding him down they cut him deeply in his wrist. Sarah then tells them to throw him into female general population. The guards throw him in and all the vampires immediately smell his blood. Tara sees Jason and stands in front of him telling all the other women to back off when Violet, who seems to run that area of the camp, claims that Jason is hers.

Eric is sitting beside Nora and he is praying for Godric to come and save Nora like he had before. Nora recalls that although Godric did make her, it was really Eric who saw something in her and saved her. It was 1665 in London when Eric was doing a favor for a king who wanted a certain woman at his beck and call, but she is too stubborn to be with him as he wants. What's worse is she is now helping people with the black plague which is highly contagious so he wants Eric to take her out of the situation and return her to him. Eric leaves for the quarantined part of the city where Nora was doing her work to help the ill. He asks for Nora but the man he meets tells Eric that he is too late and Nora has got the black death herself. Eric goes to see her and tells her that the king has sent him to retrieve her but Nora refuses stating her death would be her own. Impressed, Eric sees she is courageous, not stubborn as the king had said. He decides to take Nora to Godric and have him turn her. Eric begins to cry as they recall their past and Nora says it is as it was in the beginning but Godric is not there to save her this time. Nora tells Eric that he can find comfort in the rest of their family, and she is happy for the life he gave her. Then she gets a terrible look about her and Eric fears it is her time. Eric holds Nora and begs her not to die as she rapidly decays in his arms. Bill walks in and sadly looks at the inconsolable Eric holding the bloody remains of his sister. ("In the Evening")

Violet stops feeding on Jason. He asks her not to rape him. Angering her and explaining some vampires don't know the difference between feeding and fucking. Violet tells her when they have sex, he will like it and it will be consensual. Making Jason extremely nervous.

Dead meat true

Sarah arrives to be told that some people are not drinking the blood. She tortures him with a hamster wheel. Astonished with his out-of-shapeness. He cracks after being threatened with U.V Light and tells her he knows about the hep-v. And cracks again after being threatened again telling her James is the one who told him. James and Steve are put into a large circular room. Steve cries while Sarah looks on. Sarah tells all the others who don't drink will join them in the room. Leading to them being sent to the circular room with James and Steve. Being told by Jessica they will meet the sun in there. ("Dead Meat")

"Life Matters"

At Vampire Camp Eric arrives and attacks all the guards surrounding the outside of the camp. Warlow's blood enables him to overpower them, as their weapons no longer affect him and his attack during the day takes them by surprise. Eric then enters the camp and confronts Dr. Overlark. Overlark doesn't have time to think before Eric is on him and he grabs his crotch ripping his genitals completely off of his body. Overlark falls screaming as blood gushes between his legs and Eric tells Overlark he will likely bleed out in about 10 minutes before leaving.

Back at Camp Bill arrives to find the bodies of the guards that Eric has killed and follows the trail of carnage into the camp. Inside Eric has found the first male general population and he lets them all go. One does not leave and Eric finds that the vampires maker is inside the drawer. Eric finds the vampire inside the drawer is showing the symptoms of Hepatitis V and tells the vampire that his maker is going to die a horrific death and he can either watch it or leave before exiting back into the vamps hallways. At this time, Bill finds Dr. Overlark still alive, but only just. He asks him who did this and Overlark tells him it was Northman. Bill is about to leave when Overlark asks him to kill him. Bill asks if he ever hurt his progeny Jessica and Overlark tells him he did. Bill then agrees to kill him and stomps his face in before continuing to search for Eric.

Bill walks the halls of the camp and finds the vampires have been released and are attacking the human staff. Bill sees many vampires but not Eric. He finds one room with three vampires interrogating Dr. Finn as if he were in therapy. Eric is in the female general population and sets them free when he finds Jason barely alive. Eric decides to feed Jason his blood because of his knowledge of the facility. As the are leaving they unknowingly pass Sarah who was hiding amongst some dead bodies. After they leave the area she runs the opposite direction.

Eric finds the vampires who were talking with Dr.Finn. Jason watches the door as Eric tells Finn he forgot to ask him how Eric was going to kill him so he could prepare himself mentally. Dr. Finn says he doesn't care he will die a happy man because he had sex with Pam. Eric becomes angry and glamours Dr.Finn to find that he was telling the truth about having sex with his progeny but it was a deal to get her out of segregation. Eric decides to leave him alive because he wants to give Pam the honor of killing him. As Jason and Eric carry Dr.Finn through the halls of the camp they hear screaming and Eric realises its Ginger, the human who used to work for him.

Bill finds another empty general population and realizes he has no choice but to use his own blood to save the vampires. He finds a guard still alive and he has him take him to the white circular room. Sarah is walking upstairs to the top of the building holding Willa, Pam, Tara, Violet, Jessica, James and Steve Newlin. She turns the mechanism to open the ceiling letting light into the building but, as she does so, Bill is already there feeding the group his blood. Eric, Jason, Ginger and Dr.Finn find themselves in the next room watching the scene through the two way mirrors. Eric goes into the circular room and holds Steve Newlin into the sun before he can have Bill's blood. Before Steve meets the true death he screams out his love for Jason Stackhouse. The rest of the vampires are high from the faerie blood and relish their freedom in the sun. Pam goes into the other room and kills Dr.Finn.

True blood pam and tars in the sun

Pam and Tara enjoy the sun together, along with other vampires who fed on Bill's blood.

Violet holds Bill thanking him for the gift of light as Pam dances with Dr.Finn's dead body and the other vampires dance and celebrate. Pam then asks if everyone should be dead and Jason realises they haven't found Sarah Newlin and leaves as the other vampires exit the other way leaving Bill alone in the circular room. As he lays there the three blood covered sirens appear to him. Outside the camp Jason finds Sarah attempting to escape. She reaches in her car for her gun but Jason tackles her and takes the gun. He holds the gun to Sarah's face and is about to pull the trigger but decides he doesn't want anymore blood on his hands and lets Sarah escape.

The vampires make it outside and begin to destroy all of the contaminated Tru Blood. They show in other areas of the world such as Honolulu the Tru Blood is taken off the delivery trucks. Bill is in the circular as the Sirens tell him his time on earth has come to an end. Bill tells them he is not going anywhere and he did as he was asked so they should just leave before summoning Jessica. Jessica feels his pull and recalls that they left Bill behind. James accompanies her to find Bill. Meanwhile Eric goes back to the room where his sister Nora was injected with the Hep V and as the memories hit him he destroys the room in anger. Jessica and James find Bill and weakly explains that Lilith has sent her sirens to take him and James attempts to feed Bill his blood to restore him.

The vampires come to the exit of the camp when Jessica, James and Bill join them. Jason comes from the another direction and Violet sees him and claims him again as her own. As the rest of the vampires happily leave the camp in the sun, Pam realizes Eric is not there. She looks around and see him from a distance but he does not come to her. He looks at her for a moment and she gets a bad feeling and demands for him not to leave. Eric takes one last look before flying into the sky away from her and Pam cries not knowing where he is going. ("Life Matters")

Prisoners[]

Bullet

The shooter windows.

Due to the vampire curfew, any vampire out after dark, will be placed in camp. Unwilling vampires will be shot on site and arrested anyway. A sack is placed over their heads, they are cuffed and they are escorted to a van for transport. Upon arriving at the camp the prisoners will be placed in a white circular room where their speed is tested to determine which study program they will be placed in. These programs are signified by numbers 1-4 whether that be the copulation study, therapy study, strength study, etc.

They have two general populations within the prison one for females and one for males. They also have segregated cells for prisoners deemed at risk of being attacked due to either being a well known figure within the vampire society like Steve Newlin or relatives of prominent figures like Willa Burrell who was the daughter of Governor Truman Burrell. There are some vampires placed in segregated cells because the staff is trying to protect them like is the case with Pamela Swynford de Beaufort.

At first glance, the conditions of the camp seem like normal human prison systems. All vampire inmates are put through their programs depending on their level number. While in general population the inmates each have their own container for sleep and the rest of the area is taken up by tables and chairs for them to sit. The inmates were at the beginning being fed at least once daily by human donor blood placed in a small vial. The only way the inmate can have something other than the small donor portions or watered down Tru Blood the inmates on the LDP or Living Donor Program will be allowed to feed based on behavior and willingness to do the program as decided upon by the faculty of the camp. Later the small donor portions were replaced with the contaminated Tru Blood and most of the inmates were subjected to the fatal virus Hep V.

The prisoners are also subjected to inhumane and torturous experiments. They are forced to endure these injustices with no hope of release, as the staff have no intention of releasing them.

Experiments and Tests[]

BlastedbyGov

Veronica being shot by a UV bullet.

The camp studies vampires on every aspect of their psychology, physiology, biology and conducts many tests in order to achieve this.

Vampires are assigned one of four "levels" that determine what sort of testing they will undergo. The prisoners are subjected to a test which involves balls falling from the ceiling but one less then the number of vampires in the room. The vampire who is unlucky enough to not get one of the balls gets shot. This process is repeated until only two vampires are left. Two slots open, each containing a gun with a single UV bullet. The last man standing is left untouched.

This process helps the camp determine speed, strength and age, thus allowing them to assign a group number effectively. Level one's such as Pam and Eric are subjected to intellectual tests regarding their thought processes. It is suggested that level threes, like Tara and Jessica, are involved in sexual tests.

It appears the tests and practices within the camp are inhumane to say the least. They have vampires running on large scale "hamster" wheels, while other vampires are bound to a chair and de-fanged. Some are even watched and studied as they are forced to have sex. The human staff no longer view the vampires as people, but as monsters to be experimented on and exterminated.

The developments that have been invented from these studies may include Silver bullets with a UV core, Anti glamouring contacts and a new fatal strain of hepatitis coined Hepatitis V. It is unknown which of these were developed after the camp was opened or beforehand in preparation for a vampire threat.
