Ghosts

'''Ghosts''' are the spiritual forms of decesead people who came back from their peaceful rest to commune with the living. They sometimes are unawared of their dead status and keep a single minded object of obsession (as seen in [[Mavis]] obsession to reunite with her baby).

[[Witch|Witches]] can summon Ghosts for assistance and guidance although they only can communicate with [[Medium|Mediums]] . Exceptions to this are [[Sookie]] using her telepathy to listen to [[Adele Stackhouse]] talking to [[Marnie]], and then during Halloween of 2009 when [[Holly]], [[Sookie]] and [[Tara]] summon ghosts from [[Bon Temps]] including Adele to stop Marnie, interacting with her as well.

Apparently, when [[Vampires]] are destroyed their souls are freed and find the same peace a human soul can achieve, as [[Godric]] reveal to [[Eric]], although it can be due to an hallucination.

==Ghostly Abilities==

*Among the common abilities a Ghost displays are listed: intangibility, invisibility (only Mediums are awared of them), the ability to vanish in the thin air and to watch over the living.

*Ghost are known to be able to communicate with [[Medium|Mediums]] and make mental links with them to the point to show their past and emotions, possess their bodies and control their actions.

*Ghosts of [[Witch|magical people]] are shown to channel their magic and wisdom through a Medium host, to the point to combine forces.

*Ghosts are also shown to be able expelled other Ghosts from a medium host, as [[Adele Stackhouse]] did with [[Marnie]].

*Ghosts can fall into a hateful void, state in which they only seek revenge (as [[Antonia Gavilan]], [[Marnie Stonebrook]] and [[Drew Marshal]]).
