Deborah Susan 'Debbie' Pelt is a recurring character in the third, fourth, and fifth seasons. She is played by guest star Brit Morgan and debuts in "9 Crimes". The character also appears in flashbacks where she is played by Heather Hopkins. Debbie was the pathologically jealous and vigilant on/off girlfriend of Alcide Herveaux. She serves as an antagonist in the third and fourth seasons. A native werewolf of Mississippi, she was once engaged to Alcide, but they broke off their involvement after he insisted he did not want to breed, because he despised his own species. Debbie became addicted to V and engaged to a werewolf in Russell Edgington's command, Cooter. Despite this, she grew jealous of her ex Alcide's association with Sookie Stackhouse. After Alcide shot Cooter during an attempt to rescue Sookie's boyfriend from Edgington, Debbie became maniacal and invaded Sookie's house, intent on killing her. Sookie was able to force her to leave, however.

Eventually, Debbie and Alcide rebounded and Debbie got clean of V. Together they joined a new pack, namely that of Marcus Bozeman in Shreveport, Louisiana. Debbie became resentful once again over Alcide helping Sookie out, so she reluctantly began an affair with Marcus Bozeman, who offered her a family life. As Alcide discovered Debbie's betrayal, he abjured her, an action that triggered her to try and kill Sookie once again. She fired a gun at Sookie, but instead hit Sookie's best friend Tara Thornton; Sookie became so distressed she grabbed Debbie's gun and killed her.

PersonalityEdit

Debbie is mean-spirited and vindictive, and her relationship with Alcide has been tumultuous. She is also pathologically jealous and vigilant. She becomes maniacal after being bested by Sookie on many occasions.

Powers and AbilitiesEdit

Debbie was a werewolf. In wolf form she was more likely more powerful than a human, but weaker than a vampire of a moderate age. In human form however; she can be defeated in a fight- as seen between Debbie and Sookie. (Debbie and Sookie strengths were enhanced during the fight due to vampire blood). In human form she displayed heightened senses and she can make her eyes glow by will or strong emotions.
