Before Season 1
Edit
She was made a vampire in the late 1930s ("Mine"), soon after which she had a sexual encounter with Bill Compton, and has been desperate for his attention ever since.
Season 1
Edit

Added by Byuangel01Diane, Malcolm and Liam come by Merlotte's Bar and Grill one night in order to get Bill's attention. They made it known that they had just purchased property in Bon Temps. Once Bill left with them, Royce Williams and his friends plotted to set fire to the vampires' new nest. Early the next day, they set the house aflame, destroying Malcolm, Liam and Diane, and killing fangbanger Neil Jones ("Burning House of Love").
Powers & abilities
Edit
Diane possessed the common powers of a vampire: Superhuman strength, speed and healing. Because of her age, she was stronger and faster than younger vampires though she was far weaker than older vampires such as Bill and Eric. Her weaknesses included a stake to the heart, silver and fire. Sunlight would have slowly killed a vampire of her age.
