Dr. Finn is a psychiatrist on the HBO original series True Blood. Played by American actor Pruitt Taylor Vince, Dr. Finn makes his debut on the episode "You're No Good" in the series' sixth season. A recurring character through the same season, Dr. Finn is a psychiatrist who works for Truman Burrell in his vampire concentration camp. Speaking in a calm, even tone, he provides therapy to prisoners. He is interested in learning what makes them tick, and he eventually meets an untimely demise in the Season 6 episode "Life Matters".

Personality[]

Dr. Finn works at Burrell's camp as the resident Psychologist and he helps the facility learn about vampires psychology and find out what drives them, how they think and feel. Dr.Finn being on Burrell's side has knowledge of the atrocities going on within the facility but seems unbothered by the practices and basic rape of the vampire race. Despite that fact Dr.Finn initially doesn't act outwardly aggressive to the inmates and acts just as his job duties require, doing therapy sessions with the vampires. As time progresses and Pamela Swynford De Beaufort comes to have therapy sessions with him he is immediately drawn by her in an unprofessional manner. This eventually developed into a crush or infatuation with Pam and his feelings for her provoke him to place her in segregation to keep her safe. Pam knowing his true desires easily plays him and he folds her to commands of getting into general population for sex. He gladly accepts eventually stating he can die a happy man for having had sex with Pam before he died.
