"You like your piece of yellow tail?"
Pamela Swynford de Beaufort, to Tara Thornton[src]

Naomi was Tara Thornton's girlfriend on the HBO original series True Blood. Played by American guest starring actress Vedette Lim, Naomi makes her debut on the episode "She's Not There" in the series' fourth season. A recurring character through the same season, Naomi broke up with Tara due to Tara's concerns that vampires attacking her would kill Naomi. Naomi was last seen in the Season 4 episode "Cold Grey Light of Dawn".

Personality[]

Sweet and caring with a huge soft spot for Tara Thornton, aka "Toni".

Biography[]

Background[]

Season 4[]

"She's Not There"[]

When Naomi first appeared, she was seen fighting with Tara in a cage in a mixed martial arts match. After the fight, a drunk outside thought that the girls were prostitutes and offered them money for service. Naomi showed her protective side and defended herself and Tara. Later, they were together making love in bed when Tara got a text from Lafayette Reynolds saying Sookie Stackhouse was still alive. Tara lies about the text, saying it was a message that her grandmother just died. Naomi suggested that she should probably go home, and called her by the name of "Toni," instead of Tara. ("She's Not There")

"You Smell Like Dinner"[]

Tara calls Naomi to say that things are crazy at home. Naomi is supportive and reassuring. ("You Smell Like Dinner")

"Me and the Devil"[]

After some time, Tara called Naomi right after Jesus and Lafayette were gone and confessed that she had been missing her. While speaking with Naomi, Naomi angrily asked "Who the f**k is Tara?" and told Tara that she had found some letters addressed to "Tara Thornton." ("Me and the Devil")

"I Wish I Was the Moon"[]

Searching for an answer, Naomi arrived at Lafayette's house and surprised Tara. Angry and ashamed, she prepared to leave, but attacked Tara instead — tossing her back to the floor, which resulted in them making out passionately. Later, wanting to know more about who Tara really is, they go to Merlotte's Bar and Grill for dinner. When they leave, Pamela Swynford de Beaufort appeared in the parking lot and attacked them. ("I Wish I Was the Moon")

"Cold Grey Light of Dawn"[]

Tara fought with Pam, yelling to Naomi to run to safety. Pam is driven away by people taking photos, videos and asking if she is a zombie. Tara tells Naomi that she loves her too much to put her life at risk in Bon Temps and begs her to return to New Orleans. Tara broke down in tears, as did Naomi. ("Cold Grey Light of Dawn")

Powers and abilities[]

Being human, Naomi had no special powers. However, she was proficient in the art of kick-boxing and knew how to hold her own with punches and high kicks. Although she was skilled in this form of fighting, she wouldn't be able to take down a vampire, such as Pam, on her own. ("I Wish I Was the Moon")
