Sookie digs a grave in her back yard

Sookie drives up to her house. Entering, she finds Debbie Pelt in the kitchen holding a rifle. Lafayette hears a gun blast and runs downstairs to see Tara shot in the head. Lafayette runs into the kitchen, hearing Sookie yelling for help and holding Tara. Pam shows up looking for Eric. But before she leaves, Lafayette begs for her to turn Tara into a vampire. Sookie first opposes the idea, but then says she will "owe her one". Pam only wants Sookie to help her mend the relationship between herself and Eric. Pam bites her wrist and bleeds into Tara's open mouth.

Pam crawls into a hole dug by Lafayette and Sookie and lays next to Tara. At first, she doesn't care to "hold" Tara, but begrudgingly does so. Sookie and Lafayette cover them with dirt. Lafayette is in the kitchen at Sookie's taking pills as she begins to clean up Debbie's body. Sookie says Lafayette doesn't have to help if he doesn't want to. He asks why she won't just call the police; they would believe a white girl. Sookie said that it wasn't self-defense; that she wanted to kill Debbie. She wanted to pull the trigger. Lafayette gets some gloves and helps.

Sookie and Lafayette arrive at his home to help get rid of Jesus' body. When Lafayette walks into his home, however, Jesus is missing. Lafayette cannot understand where he went or what happened. Lafayette is clearly upset and needs to say goodbye to Jesus. He tries to use his medium powers and calls out to Jesus, but fails.

Sookie takes a shower, during which she has a flashback from when she was a pre-teen. She wants to play baseball with the other kids. She can use her telepath skills to listen to the kids, and hears them calling her names in their minds. When she threatens a boy with reveling his masturbatory habits, he calls her crazy and attacks Sookie. A young Tara comes to her aid and punches the boy. Sookie's mind returns to the present, and she leaves her shower. She looks out the window at the ground where Pam and Tara are nesting.

Lafayette is sitting on Sookie's bed when she says the bathroom is all his, and she left a fresh towel. Lafayette takes a bath, and while he does, he stares at a pink razor nearby.

Hearing a knock on the door, Sookie answers to find Alcide standing there. He comes in and warns her that Russell Edgington is now on the loose. He tells her she should join him for safety. She is about to tell him about Debbie, but Lafayette—now completely bald-headed, having apparently used the razor to shave it—comes downstairs and tells Alcide to leave. He says they are done with his kind, or any supernatural kind. Alcide growls at him, but Lafayette doesn't back down saying "don't growl at me". Sookie tells him he should go and that she can't leave. Alcide says she knows where to find him, if she changes her mind. Lafayette talks to Sookie telepathically. He also says the sun will be going down soon, and that they should be there for Tara.

11 Vamp Tara 5x1

Tara is now a Vampire.

Lafayette leaves to get them some food in the house. Sookie sees Pam's hand emerge from the soil. She is clearly aggravated. Sookie asks if it worked, and Pam says she doesn't know. Sookie digs at the grave, finally finding Tara's cold, lifeless head and begins to cry. Lafayette turns the corner and sees what is happening. He gets clearly upset as well. Then, in an instant, Tara emerges with lightning speed as a vampire and attempts to attack Sookie. In shock, Sookie tries to crawl away and yells "Lafayette!".("Turn! Turn! Turn!")

Tb 0016

Sookie is bitten by Tara and is unable to get her off, even with the assistance of Lafayette. Pam finally comes to her aide and pulls Tara away. She tells them not to bite them. Then, using vampire speed, Pam puts Tara in the house and tells her not go anywhere.

Tara is inside Sookie's kitchen and begins to tear it apart. Sookie asks Lafayette to grab her. Unsure how, she mentions that there is Tru Blood in the cupboard. He walks slowly to retrieve it, and sets it in front of her. Sookie tells her she's got to eat, and in a flash she throws Lafayette down to the ground and pops out her fangs. He calls for Sookie, and Tara starts to hit herself in the head- knowing something isn't right. In vampire speed, she leaves the kitchen and runs upstairs, where she begins to destroy more property.

Lafayette goes upstairs to look for Tara. They know they must get her to the cubby before daylight. Lafayette cuts his arm and uses it as a ruse to get Tara to emerge. Once she does, Sookie binds her by the neck with silver and they began to carry her downstairs.

Tb 0229

Sookie goes to the Stake House to find supplies to bind Tara while she is in captivity. There she sees Steve Newlin on television now explaining he is still a Christian but a vampire as well. The salesman is obviously mad, saying he use to be his hero. He offers a "silver mister" to her. Telepathically, Sookie listens to the clerk's thoughts. He mentions a vamp killing and that she would fuck him after. Sookie then states that killing a vampire or human is against the law.

Sookie is on the front porch installing the Silver Mister, when she returns into the house and telepathically hears Lafayette in the cubby with Tara. He is saying he should have never done this to Tara and preparing to stake her. Sookie runs to the cubby and begs him not to go through with it. She says it's still new, just as Jessica was from the start and to have faith and give it time. She says they will make a life for her.

Night falls and Tara emerges from her cubby and inches closer to Lafayette and Sookie. When Sookie says "Tara", she looks at her and says "I will never forgive either of you." She bolts from the front door and is sprayed with the silver liquid before disappearing into the night. ("Authority Always Wins") Lafayette and Sookie chase Tara through the woods but are unable to find her. Sookie goes to Fangtasia, begging Pam to help her to find Tara. Pam shows disinterest and threatens to kill Sookie if she does not leave the bar. Sookie refuses and Pam pushes her against a table. Sookie retaliates using her powers to knock Pam off her feet and walks away.

Lafayette returns to Sookie's house and tells her that he looked everywhere for Tara . He checked Merlotte's, which was closed, and checked at Tara's mother's house without revealing that Tara had become a vampire. Sookie hopes that Tara has the sense to find somewhere safe to sleep before sunrise.

Lafayette and Sookie arrive at work as Arlene runs crying to the bathroom following a fight with Terry. Sookie asks Sam if he has seen Tara. He lies, but she reads his mind and discovers that he has put her in the walk in freezer to shield her from the sunlight. Sam freaks out at Sookie for her involvement in Tara becoming a vampire. Sookie tells him that she was going to die if she didn't do something about it. Sam tells Sookie that his brother died in his arms and wonders if he should have fought for him. From his perspective, he says Sookie gave Tara a second chance, and it's up to Tara in what she wants to do with it. With Tara in the freezer, Sookie tells Lafayette that they have to spend the day at work ensuring that no one walks in there and learns about Tara.

Andy questions Sookie about Debbie's location while she is working. Sookie tells him that she and Debbie never got along due to her friendship with Alcide.,She maintains that while she didn't like Debbie, she doesn't know where she is. During the questioning, a paranoid Lafayette is watching and drinking by the bar.

Tb 0751

Andy lets Sookie walk and requests to speak to Holly outside. Lafayette tells Sookie they're screwed and that they're going to jail, but Sookie remains the stronger of the two and tells Lafayette to hold it together. Lafayette agrees and yells at Arlene about cold food left behind his serving counter. While Sookie pours a cup of coffee, she is seen trembling in fear.

Lafayette tries to give Tara a bottle of Tru Blood after she awakens in the Merlotte's freezer. Alcide pays Sookie a visit to ask about Debbie. Sookie immediately denies knowing anything and assures him that there is nothing going on. Tara throws Lafayette through the freezer door. Alcide, Sookie, Arlene and Sam quickly go to check on him. Sookie pretends to be oblivious to what happened to Tara and asks why she was in the freezer. Tara tells Sookie not to play dumb. Tara reveals her fangs, frightening Arlene. Tara warns all of them to stay away from her or she'll kill them, quickly leaving through the back door. Alcide glares at Sookie, walking away.

Tb 1384

Sookie explains to Alcide what happened to Debbie, revealing that she killed her because she shot Tara. Angry, Alcide questions if Sookie was planning on keeping it a secret from him. Sookie admits that she was because she knew he loved Debbie and didn't know what Alcide would do. Alcide yells at Sookie, angry that he has had her back since day one and yet she lied to his face. Sookie delicately asks him if he plans to tell anyone. Alcide says nothing and walks away. ("Whatever I Am, You Made Me")

Sookie tries to apologize to Alcide as he drives out of the Merlotte's Bar and Grill parking lot. Lafayette runs over to Sookie and learns that she told Alcide everything. Sookie tells Lafayette that they can't keep lying or they'll keep digging themselves deeper. Lafayette says that he doesn't enjoy the lies, but expected Sookie to keep quiet about murdering Debbie Pelt after the multiple times he has covered for her. Sookie tells Lafayette that she didn't tell Alcide about him being involved, but Lafayette refuses to listen. Sookie tries to reason with him, saying that they have to start doing right and that it'll be okay. Lafayette says Sookie will survive, as usual, but she always leaves a trail of bodies behind as a result. Lafayette then calls Sookie the angel of death and leaves her crying.

S05E04 Sookie

Sookie confesses killing Debbie to Jason.

Sookie pounds on Jason's door. When he opens it, she barges in and admits to killing Debbie. Jason doesn't believe her until she reveals the details of what happened. Jason tells her that he doesn't want to hear another word and demands she leave. He asserts that their conversation never happened. Sookie tells Jason that she has already told Alcide and begs Jason to put her in jail. Jason refuses and tells Sookie to act normal tomorrow while he figures out what to do for her. He asks if Alcide is the only one who knows and Sookie admits that Lafayette and Tara were also there. She explains that Tara was shot and raised as a vampire; Jason is appalled and disbelieving. Sookie rationalizes that she didn't have time to think and had to act or Tara was going to die. Jessica comes out of Jason's bedroom after hearing everything, also shocked to learn about that happened to Tara.

S05E04 Lafayette

Lafayette curses Sookie's car.

Holly walks in on Sookie in the bathroom by mistake and apologizes. As she waits, Sookie hears her thoughts. Holly thinks about how she can get through her shift around Sookie after what she did to Tara. Sookie returns to the restaurant, hearing everyone's thoughts, as they blame her for what happened to Tara.

Lafayette steps out of his car behind Merlotte's and notices Sookie's car. He begins speaking in tongues and holds both hands out lifting Sookie's car from the ground. His demon suddenly emerges, placing a spell on the vehicle.

Sookie drives down the highway and notices her car picking up speed. She realizes that her brakes aren't working while the gas pedal is pushing down by itself. The vehicle continually picks up speed. Sookie panics and jumps out of her car just before it crashes into a pole.

Sookie arrives home and roots through her liquor cabinet for a drink. Later, Sookie drunkenly sings along with music alone in her living room. Lafayette calls and asks if she's okay after finding her wrecked car. Lafayette nervously says that he is coming over and Sookie assures him that she is okay. Sookie hears a knock on her door and sees Alcide, telling him to come in. Sookie asks Lafayette to call and have her car towed to a mechanic. Lafayette tries to confess what happened but Sookie hangs up. Alcide explains to Sookie that he lied to Debbie's parents, covering for Sookie while satisfying their need to find out what happened to Debbie. Sookie is grateful and apologizes for involving him. She offers him a drink and he accepts.

S05E04 Sookie and Alcide

Sookie kisses Alcide.

Sookie gives Alcide a drink that Tara used to make for her. He takes a sip, says it is horrible and laughs. Sookie tries to make him to drink him again. Alcide refuses and Sookie straddles him saying he'd to anything for her and that he loves her. Alcide tells her to go screw herself, smiling. Sookie then begins to make out with Alcide. ("We’ll Meet Again")

Tb 0039
Tb 0279

Sookie and Alcide continue making out on her couch. Alcide picks her up, takes her upstairs and both begin to undo their clothes. Once Sookie's shirt comes off, he proclaims he's been waiting a long time to sleep with her. Sookie suddenly throws up on Alcide's shoes. Bill and Eric stand idly by Sookie's door with Eric teasing Alcide about knowing how to treat a lady.

Sookie is sitting at her table with Bill and Eric while Alcide is cleaning his boots in the back. Bill requests Sookie to try and read Alcide's employee's mind, Doug, who was glamoured after Russell was freed. Alcide says he doesn't want Doug mixed up in vampire business, saying fangers bring nothing but trouble and death. Eric retorts that they don't need his permission. As they argue about the current situation with Russell, a still drunken Sookie then begins to hear all three men bark like dogs and starts to laugh. When they stop and realize, Sookie apologizes and admits that she felt if she makes the right choices that her life would go back to normal. Then she realizes that it's not going to change and comes to accept the fact that her life would always revolve around the supernatural. She grabs her jacket and goes with Bill and Eric to hunt Russell, Alcide also joining along.

Bill, Eric, Alcide and Sookie show up to meet Doug. Sookie asks if she could read his mind and he lets her. While he says he doesn't remember much, Sookie sees his thoughts and a woman approaches him but Sookie can't make out who it is. She then sees another of Doug's thoughts of this woman digging Russell out with her hands. A terribly weak and blood deprived Russell is seen being held and Sookie notices the woman wearing the same pendant the Authority wears. She tells this to Bill and Eric, and Bill accuses Eric of telling Nora about Russell, to which Eric promptly denies. Bill continues accusing Nora of freeing Russell and Eric deems it absurd, considering the great lengths Nora went through to free them both.

Sookie, Doug and Alcide are seen in a truck driving. Sookie asks if Alcide wants to talk about her throwing up on his shoes and he says no. Sookie continues reading Doug's thoughts to learn where he might have taken Russell. Eventually they find Russell in the asylum. And suddenly wolves attack ("Let's Boot and Rally") Alcide is being dragged away by a wolf before he can transform and take it on. Wolves also attack Eric and Bill, leaving Sookie exposed. A still-weak but hungry Russell closes on Sookie, and is about to bite her when she suddenly manifests balls of faerie light from her hands, sending him flying against a wall.

Tb 0019

Before he can recover, Eric and Bill subdue their wolf attackers, and Eric grabs Russell by the throat. But before he can end him, Bill comes up behind Eric, holding him at bay with a stake. He proposes that they take Russell alive, reasoning that if they succeed, the Authority might spare them. Eric doesn't believe him. "Maybe you are ready to die. Maybe you're just bored after a thousand years. But you do not make that decision for me," Bill says. Before Eric can answer, the Authority's strike team lead by Councilman Kibwe swarms the building and tells the group that they'll take over from that point.

As Russell is being led away the council member asks Bill and Eric why Sookie and Alcide are there, and they make up a story about finding them, and Doug, along the way. "They know too much," Kibwe says, but Bill assures them that they'll be glamoured. The councilman agrees, leaving one of the team behind to witness it. Bill goes to Sookie and tells her to look him in the eyes. Bill tells Sookie that she'll remember nothing of the night, nothing of him or Eric. It will be as though we never met, Bill tells Sookie. But Bill is only pretending to glamour her, because as a fairy Sookie is not susceptible to it. Bill tells Sookie to live her life as she was meant to live it, in the sun with others like her.

Tb 0480

Back at Sookie's, Alcide comes downstairs in the morning to find Sookie sitting alone in the kitchen. He asks if Sookie's OK, then has flashbacks of the two of them having sex. Alcide asks what happened, and Sookie tells him that stuff happened. He obviously doesn't remember anything, so Sookie reaches for him. Alcide recoils, and Sookie realizes what Eric did as part of his glamour. She then makes Alcide hold on to her hand and returns his memories of Russell and the asylum to him. Alcide suddenly recognizes one of the wolves as JD, flares up at the trouble Bill and Eric have caused and storms off. "Bye," Sookie sullenly mutters. "I'm just going to stay here and quietly slip into a coma."

At Merlotte's, Sookie, Arlene and Holly are complaining about men when Jason walks in and tells Sookie about the faerie nightclub. Sookie commands Jason to take her to the location. Jason takes Sookie to the field where the faerie club manifested, and at first she doesn't see anything. Then she senses it, and hears it and walks into what seems to be apparent nothingness. Jason can't follow her at first, but then she drags him in. Inside Sookie finds Hadley and Claudine's brother Claude as well.

Tb 1258

As Jason and Sookie are talking to Claude, at the faerie club, Sookie asks if it's true that vampires killed her mother and father. Claude says that he only knows what Claudine told him: Unknown Vampire ambushed their parents because he was drawn to something he smelled in the back seat of their car. In a flashback, we see Sookie's parents in their car stopping on a bridge so they don't hit a man standing in the middle of the road. Then we see the man rifling through the backseat and finding a bandage with Sookie's blood on it. Sookie angrily says she doesn't believe him. She tries to manifest her faerie light but it fails, and a group of faeries in the bar shoot their beams at her as she screams.

("Hopeless") Back at the fairy club the Claude and his sister tell Sookie that since she is half human, her magic is finite. If she isn't careful how she uses it, it will run out and she will no longer be faerie. Sookie seems to be intrigued by this possibility.

Back at Sookie's house Jason makes her breakfast for lunch and they talk about what they just learned. Jason finds out that Sookie feels responsible for their parent's death for it was her blood the vampire was after. But Jason tells Sookie that it is not her fault at and tells her not to feel responsible.

Sookie uses fae powers

Sookie tries to drain herself of her powers.

Sookie then drops by with gifts for Luna. Sam then tells her what's been happening and Sookie offers to buy Sam coffee in the lobby. In the lobby Sam thanks Sookie for the coffee and they sit and talk. Sookie then talks to Sam about being human. She asks Sam if had the choice to be human would he take it. But they say that despite them not being hated and feared anymore the hate would still be around them.

Sookie at home walks out to the front yard thinking about what she learned. That she can be human. Suddenly, Sookie begins to expel light from her hands trying to drain her powers. ("In the Beginning") Jason finds Sookie trying to use up all of her faerie light. She's tired of being a freak. He sits her down and talks about how her powers could help them down the road, particularly when it comes to learning about their parents.

Sookie and Jason go to the faerie club for aid finding out which vampire killed their parents. The Crane faeries agree to meet the following day at the bridge where their parents were killed.

At the bridge the faeries tell Sookie to attempt to connect with her mother the night she was killed to help them figure out who was responsible. She becomes her mother, watching as a vampire breaks into the car and kills her father. But then she starts seeing the event from the vampires point of view, as he kills her mother and then finds the band-aid with Sookie's blood in the backseat. Claudine shows up and drives the vampire away. Sookie is knocked off her feet (as the vampire was) and the vision ends.

The faeries are upset that Sookie has psychically bonded with the vampire. Sookie recalls that Claudine knew the vampire, calling him "Warlow".

Warlow appears to Sookie in a vision. He says he's coming for her and "you are mine." ("Somebody That I Used to Know") Lafayette helps Sookie to figure out why she is connected with the spirit of the vampire Warlow. He hears several voices all talking at the same time. He chastises the chattering spirits and hears a message from Gran. Gran says that Sookie is "sleeping on top of it." Sookie finds a box full of letters under her bed.

Sookie goes through the letters and albums in the box and finds a newspaper clipping about her parents' death. It mentions that Sheriff Bud was the one who found their bodies.

Sookie goes to Bud's home to ask about her parent's murders. He remembers evidence of a vampire attack, but at the time they thought it was a gator. Sookie reads his mind and hears that he's hiding something. But his thoughts make it clear he doesn't know Warlow. At that point Sweetie hits Sookie over the head with a frying pan and tells Bud to grab her body.

Sookie wakes up to find herself bound next to a pigpen. She looks over at Hoyt lying unconscious. Based on his thoughts, she believes that he has been drugged. One of the Obamas walks into the room.

Bud tells Sookie that somebody needs to do something about the vampires. Sweetie walks in and introduces herself. Their plan is to kill both Sookie (because she is a mind-reading "freak") and Hoyt (because he didn't take the chance to kill Jess, and even though he is human - he is into "supes", so he should die with them). They talk about wanting a law requiring supernaturals ("supes") be killed on-sight. Sookie reads Sweetie's mind and sees that her husband left her for a shifter; she is the Dragon. Bud forces Sookie to drink some ginger ale laced with oxycontin.

Sam, shifted into a pig, saves Sookie from being thrown into the pigpen by catching her. Sweetie runs away as soon as she sees the "dirty shifter." Sam takes on all the Obamas and fares well. Andy and Jason pull up. Andy pulls his gun on Bud. When Bud praises the humans and makes a move at Sam with his shovel Andy shoots him in the chest, killing him. Jason grabs Sookie, who points him to a very weak Hoyt. Outside Luna takes the form of a dog to run Sweetie down. Luna shifts back and begins to beat the snot out of Sweetie.

Hoyt is taken to the hospital with a weak pulse. Andy is about to take Sookie home because she refuses to get checked up. She says that she will be fine as soon as she has washed the pig out of her hair. Sam thanks Andy.

Sookie is visited by the faeries, bringing her food and company. They tell her about vampires being behind the Tru Blood factory explosions. ("Everybody Wants to Rule the World") The television news reports that the manufacturers of Tru Blood have promised to rebuild all the destroyed Tru Blood plants. Steve Newlin is interviewed; he claims that Homeland Security are looking for the people responsible for the destruction (despite his involvement). Sookie walks in with the food Claude bought her and turns off her TV.

She sits down with the papers she found hidden under her floorboards but is interrupted by a knock on the door. Suspicious, she grabs a revolver and covers it with the papers. She looks through her window and seeing that it is Mike allows him into her house. She asks what he is doing there in the middle of the night. He answers that he came for the body. Sookie asks what body he is talking about. He says "Yours" and reveals his fangs. Sookie shoots at Mike and he chuckles that it does not hurt. Sookie goes to run but Mike grabs her and begins feeding on her leg. Sookie pulls out chopsticks from the take out and she stakes Mike through his back, destroying him.

Andy attends Sookie's house to process the scene of Mike's death. He reassures her that no charges will be brought against her. She wonders who turned Mike. Andy says that Mike loved his job. Their regard for the decedent does not last and they share memories of his creepiness.

Jason picks Sookie up from her home. She tries to console him about Hoyt's impending departure for Alaska and his request that Jessica glamour away all memory of both her and Jason. Jason is despondent about losing his friend and failing to progress their investigation into the murder of their parents; he learned nothing from Bud's files. He goes back over Sookie's message from their Gran, believing that she might have missed something. He finds that the box Sookie found was merely a distraction and Gran was actually pointing them towards a hidden compartment under the bed. Inside they find a metal box containing a scroll covered with arcane symbols.

Sookie and Jason seek the advice of an expert, symbologist Professor Kannell. He believes that the scroll is meaningless but could be written in a non human language.

Jason sees Hoyt's truck as he drives Sookie back from the college. He pulls him over and begs him to stay, despite Hoyt not recognizing him. Hoyt is not swayed from his purpose and Jason wishes him a safe journey. Sookie hugs her brother as he sobs over the loss of his friend.

Sookie takes the scroll to Claude and his sisters at the faerie bar. Claude does not recognize the language and suggests showing it to an older faerie, Maurella, who is almost 500 years old. Maurella recognizes it as a contract written in faerie blood. She uses her powers to reveal the meaning of the document "5 August 1702, I, John William Stackhouse, in reference to our binding agreement on this said date, do grant Mr. M. Warlow my first fae bearing female heir." Jason asks Claude who the first female faerie was in that family since 1702 and Claude says that there were none, until Sookie. ("Gone, Gone, Gone") Sookie and Jason leave Hot Wings and discuss the vampire that killed their parents as they walk through the fairy's field. Sookie reveals to Jason that the ghost of Warlow told her he was coming for her.

Maurella and Claude lead Sookie to the Faerie Elder, explaining that due to her old age, it is very hard for her to concentrate on any one topic for very long. Sookie asks the Elder about Warlow and she tells her that her, Warlow and Sookie's destinies are intertwined. Jason interrupts, shouting for Sookie out in the field. He warns Sookie that Russell is searching for her. The Faerie Elder is horrified that Russell is alive.

Sookie gathers the faeries in Hot Wings and explains the need to fight Russell, as opposed to just sitting back and doing nothing. Some of the faeries disagree, but the Elder sides with Sookie. After the meeting, Jason and Sookie have a heart to heart, and Jason agrees that he's going to fight alongside Sookie.

While keeping lookout for Sookie, Jason is attacked by Russell and Steve. Russell glamours Jason into leading him to Sookie and the other faeries.

Jason leads Russell to the faery's field. The elder tries to fight Russell, using her photokinesis to throw Steve across the field. She accidentally hits Jason too. However, Russell is too quick for her and drains her. Having consumed her blood, he is able to see into the faeries sanctuary. He sees Sookie with the faeries and moves to attack them. ("Sunset") Having draining the Faery Elder, Russell can see the fae hideout and moves to attack. The Faeries use their combined power to hold him back. Sookie has to pause several times as her dwindling powers leave her unable to sustain the attack. Russell's advance is slowed by their blasts, but he believes that their light has no further effect on him. As the Faeries continue their attempt to keep him at bay, Russell is ambushed by Eric just as he is about to enter the nightclub. Eric takes advantage of the situation and manages to stake Russell bringing him the True Death, satisfying a long held lust for revenge. Steve Newlin looks on in horror as his boyfriend is staked and then runs off into the woods.

Sookie rushes to help Jason and Nora finds herself drawn to Sookie's blood. Eric stops Nora and makes her swear not to touch Sookie. Jason is groggy from a head injury, but alive.

Jason hallucinates the he is seeing his parents urging him to hate vampires. Eric arrives with Tara and Nora asking for Sookie's help to save Bill. Eric says that she is the only one that can get through to Bill. Sookie agrees to help them to infiltrate the Authority. They arm themselves with weapons from the Stake House.

Eric arrives at the Authority and kills every vampire that approaches him. Jason revels in the violence against vampires, killing many himself. Salome is about to drink the Blood of Lilith, but hearing the alarm, she flees to her chamber. Nora and Eric disarms the building's security system and release the prisoners. Pam passionately kisses Tara as they are reunited.

Jessica is thrilled to see Jason and professes her love for him. He rejects her because she is a vampire. Eric sends most of the group in the elevator, warning them to expect more guards, then takes Sookie to find Bill.

Having grown tired of his old life and always apologizing for being vampire Bill refuses. He claims to have no real feelings for Sookie. He drinks the blood of Lilith. He begins to bleed from the eyes and mouth and then appears to be destroyed; leaving a puddle of blood behind. Sookie is devastated and Eric comforts her as she breaks down.

Bill rises again from the pool of his remains, coated in blood like Lilith and baring sharper, longer, fangs. Eric yells at Sookie to run. As they flee Bill growls demonically. ("Save Yourself")
