Hugo Ayres is a recurring character in the second season of the HBO original series True Blood. He was the lover of Isabel Beaumont and was chosen to act as Sookie Stackhouse's fiancé in order to meet the Fellowship of the Sun and locate Godric. ("Hard-Hearted Hannah")

Background[]

Hugo Ayers met the vampire Isabel Beaumont and become her lover. He loved her very much, even wanting her to turn him into vampire. However when the topic came up, Isabel refused to talk about it. This then caused Hugo to feel betrayed and to feel used as simply her food source but not her true love. He then joined the Fellowship of the Sun Church.

Season 2[]

"Hard-Hearted Hannah"[]

He was the lover of Isabel Beaumont and was chosen to act as Sookie Stackhouse's fiancé in order to meet the Fellowship of the Sun and locate Godric. ("Hard-Hearted Hannah")

"Release Me"[]

It was revealed that Hugo had been a secret member of the Fellowship of the Sun. Gabe knocked him out before attacking Sookie Stackhouse. ("Release Me")

"Timebomb"[]

Once his betrayal was made public, Isabel Beaumont asked Godric to punish him in any way he chose, but Godric decided to let Hugo go. ("Timebomb")
