I'm Alive and on Fire is the fourth Season 4 episode of True Blood and the 39th episode overall.
Synopsis
Eric, drains all of Claudine's blood and begins to play naughty with Sookie. He pinches her butt and darts around at vampire speed, wanting to play catch. Eric disappears in the night. Later, Alcide comes by Sookie's home and shifts into his Werewolf form. He tracks Eric down in a nearby swamp.
Eric is enjoying his time in the daylight and doesn't want to come back. He gets threatened at the sight of Alcide and bares his fangs. With the Fairy blood wearing off his system, Eric's flesh starts to burn in the sunlight. Sookie makes him get out of the water and puts a blanket around him. He returns back to her house. Jason is freed by Becky. He makes her realize that she should wait to lose her virginity. Jason escapes and knocks out Luther on the way. Later Felton and Crystal see Luther tied up. Angry, Felton shifts into werepanther form with Timbo and Crystal on his heels, and the three begin to chase Jason. Jason manages to kill Felton with a sharpened stick when Crystal approaches, kicking Felton's corpse and vowing that she and Jason are mated for life, and his life is now in Hotshot, not Bon Temps. He runs away, Crystal still preaching her love for him.
Bill visits Pam at Fangtasia. He is questioning the whereabouts of Eric, but Pam tells him she knows nothing. Later, Nan pays a visit to Bill, angry for making him go near wiccans. She forces him to take care of the situation personally.
Marnie has a dream about a Spanish witch being burnt at the stake. She wakes tormented, her eyes aflame as before. Jesus, Lafayette and Tara are still begging her to reverse the memory loss spell she cast on Eric. She claims she has tried, but had no luck. Frustrated that they cannot find the proper incantation, a book mysteriously flies off a shelf and lands on the shop floor. Marnie picks up the book and realizes it contains a spell that should reverse the curse.
Bill pays a visit to Portia Bellefleur and her grandmother Caroline Bellefleur. Andy, who is living in the large home, comes downstairs to leave, but is prompted to stay by his grandmother. Bill and Caroline go through a family tree and realize that Bill's great-great-great-great-grand daughter is none other than Portia. He leaves her home.
Sam stays the day and evening with Luna and her daughter. While relaxing on the sofa, Luna explains that her ex-boyfriend is a werewolf. She also explains that he is very jealous and often spies on her.
Arlene, Terry and their children are shocked to see Mikey has written "BABY NOT YOURS" on the wall with a red marker.
Sam is confronted by Maxine Fortenberry, wondering where Tommy has got to. Meanwhile, we find that Tommy is visiting his mother Melinda at her trailer. She claims to have left Joe Lee, but while relaxing around a fire, Joe Lee approaches and attacks Tommy. Joe Lee chains Tommy around the neck, vowing that Tommy has taken his "last free breath".
Jason makes it to a main road and collapses. Hoyt and Jessica are driving by in their truck when they spot him. Jessica runs toward Jason and makes him drink her blood. The headlights from the truck causing a beautiful glow around Jessica, as Jason opens his eyes and sees her.
Bill approaches Sookie's home looking for Eric. He threatens to come into her home and look for Eric, but she stops him. She tells him that she has never once lied to him, and Bill believes her. He leaves without searching for Eric.
With the spellbook in hand, Marnie attempts to reverse the spell. Outdoors in a circle, Marnie, Pam, Lafayette and Tara stand. Marnie begins to chant, while Pam continues to complain and threaten. Suddenly, Marnie drops her spellbook and gets a strange look on her face. She starts chanting again in Spanish. Pam's facial skin begins to burn. She lifts her hand and touches her cheek, a chunk of skin coming off. She screams and leaves in vampire speed. Marnie, her eyes filled with the fire spirit, smiles again, then faints dead away.

Bloopers and continuity errors
- When Bill meets Caroline Bellefleur for the first time you can see a puncture on Stephen Moyer's left ear. This could be a result of having an ear piercing. This would not be possible for a vampire due to accelerated healing.
