Luther is a recurring character on the HBO original series True Blood. Played by American guest starring actor E.J. Callahan, Luther makes his debut on the episode "You Smell Like Dinner" in the series' fourth season. A resident of Hotshot, Louisiana, Luther is seen living with his family of fellow werepanthers. A recurring character through the same season, Luther was last seen in the Season 4 episode "I'm Alive and on Fire".
When Andy Bellefleur comes to Hotshot raising hell looking for some V, Felton Norris notices similar side effects of V addiction in Andy (which Felton shares too), and has Luther take a vial of to him which Andy quickly accepts and then leaves. ("You Smell Like Dinner")
During that night, around a bonefire in Hotshot, the werepanthers eat what seems to be some raw meat. Luther explains to the pack the importance of being a werepanther by telling them the story of "Ghost Daddy" and "Ghost Mommy", disliking Timbo's questioning about that matter. Then, Felton watches at Jason, who was bitten by him and Crystal Norris, and asks for Luther's opinion of Jason's transformation into a werepanther, which he believes in going well.("If You Love Me, Why Am I Dyin'?")
Luther sets guard outside Jason's room during his rape. When Becky releases Jason from the bed, he knocks out Luther in order to escape. Once Felton realizes Becky didn't lose her virginity to Jason, he rushes into the room to find a tied up Luther. ("I'm Alive and on Fire")
