Played by American guest starring actor Randy Oglesby, Theodore was the reverend of the Fellowship of the Sun church outside of Dallas, Texas. One of the leading opponents of vampire rights, Theodore was constantly seen on network television pushing an anti-vampire agenda. Meeting an untimely demise on the episode "The First Taste" in the series' first season, Theodore was mentioned once more, in the series' second season, when it is revealed that Dallas vampire Stan Baker was responsible for the reverend's death.

"The First Taste"
One of the leading opponents of vampire rights, he was constantly seen on network television pushing an anti-vampire agenda. He refused to have a dialogue with American Vampire League spokeswoman Nan Flanagan. Along with his wife and baby, the Reverend supposedly died in a car accident in mid-2008. His son Steve continued with his anti-vampire crusade.
Season 2
It is later revealed by the Dallas vampire, Stan Baker, that he and other agitated vampires under his command were responsible for the deaths of Newlin, his wife and their baby daughter.
