Theodore Newlin was the reverend of the Fellowship of the Sun church outside of Dallas, Texas. He was seen on network television pushing an anti-vampire agenda when he refused to have a dialogue with AVL spokeswoman Nan Flanagan. Along with his wife and baby, the Reverend supposedly died in a car accident in mid-2008. His son Steve continued with his anti-vampire crusade.
It is later revealed by the Dallas vampire Stan that agitated vampires were responsible for his death.
