Biography

Season 3

EricFather

Ulfrik makes his son vow vengeance

Ulfrik is seen in a flashback of his son Eric's. He was a ruler, a king, and had a crown. He was married to Astrid, with whom he had at least two children. He planned for his son Eric to succeed him as a monarch, and lectured Eric on his lack of productivity and being prone to spend his days "inside a woman's legs". The same night he lectured Eric, however, a coordinated group of werewolves attacked his home, instantly killing his wife and daughter and severely wounding him. Ulfrik managed to kill at least one werewolf, however, before perishing. Just before he died, he made Eric King and had him vow vengeance upon him and his family.

As it turned out, the werewolves attacking Ulfrik had been under the command of vampire Russell Edgington. As soon as Eric was able to confirm Edgington had been responsible for his father's death (as Eric recognized his father's crown in Edgington's collection), Eric murdered Edgington's husband of 700 years, Talbot Angelis, finally taking the vengeance he had sworn to take.
