Are Andy's fairy daughters dead or alive?

I am wondering if Andy's fairy daughters are alive or dead because I cannot believe that Jessica drained them of their blood.  I am hoping that they are simply unconscious.  Also, since Andy knows that Sookie is fae, why did'nt he ask her for help when it came to understanding the species?  He figured out at the end of episode four that fairy blood is like candy to a vampire.  I hope they are alive.    Andy may not be the brightest person but he has compassion and he loves his daughters.
