Hi, welcome to True Blood Wiki! Thanks for your edit to the Template:Character page.

RE: Thanks for starting the wiki Edit

I'm glad I did! I'm a very busy person, hence why can't contribute as much as I'd like to. But with your help, hopefully we can make this on of the top wiki's! And the character boxes are awesome. Great job!--The Scourge 06:21, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Consider yourself an admin. All I ask for is the pictures in the layout be kept to a minimum for the sake of loading the pages faster. And tonight's episode was incredible, as always. Lafayette never lets me down.--The Scourge 09:46, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
Considering how far they're stepping away from the books, and Lafayette's growing popularity (He won an award for best actor in True Blood, if I'm not mistaken), I highly doubt they're gonna get rid of him.--The Scourge 09:58, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Black template background Edit

Black template background doesn't work - unless you know how to change the color of the text to white - right now you can't read anything in the Character template. Overworkedirish 18:15, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

No listen, I agree that it should match the subject matter, but I DO use Firefox - it may be that I'm on a Linux system that it still isn't coming up as white text, but I don't know if that's it. Keep in mind, we don't work on the wiki for "us" to view, it's for others, and the fact is, a lot of viewers use IE. We need to figure out a way for it to be white text on all web browsers. Overworkedirish 18:29, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
Sorry - didn't fully get your post before - changing it to a dark wiki sounds good and all - I just hope it works for all browsers. I'll keep on editing, despite not being able to see, hahaha ;-) Overworkedirish 18:44, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
Here's my view of ParkPedia: Overworkedirish 19:11, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
WHOOOOA well that was it. Thanks. Dunno why that box was unchecked. In other news, check out "Strange Love" talk page. --Overworkedirish 20:25, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

Lafayette Edit

...want to tell me why you deleted his article on grounds of "vandalism" without commenting on my Talk page? I'm the only one doing anything for this Wiki, please don't be stuck up about it. Overworkedirish 18:18, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

Tru Blood "45" Edit

Not 45 flavors - 45 dollars per bottle - that was the whole point of that scene - Jessica was mad at Bill for keeping her there so she was making him dish out for tru bloods she didn't even drink. --Overworkedirish 14:57, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

Quick Change & Theme issues Edit

Okay so I've tried to go through the whole wiki and note any issues with this new theme. Here's what I've got:

  • Link colors. Blue and purple ("active links" and "visited links") are contrasting where they're difficult to read. If we can change link colors, I think we should try that, if not, we need to change this gray background.
  • Edit bar. Where it says "Edit this page", "History", "Move", "Watch" - that gray on the red, like the links mentioned before, is too contrasting. Black text maybe?
  • Comparing edits. When you click the "History" bar of any page, it lists edits made by users. But those edits highlighted are whited out! Both background AND text are white. Unless you select the text with your mouse, it's impossible to read what's on it.

Other than this, in general I like the concept. Eventually, once we get more members, we may want to do a competition for the "best banner" to put at the top instead of just faces of main characters - but for now this is good. --Overworkedirish 15:05, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

RE: Changes Edit

I like the concept, but it definitely needs a lot of work. Hopefully, you don't plan on leaving it like this. Keep it up.--The Scourge 18:33, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

He would have to come talk to me first before I give him any authority.--The Scourge 21:13, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

Page problems Edit

Though I'm pretty sure it's my girlfriend's wifi that's being wonky, can you just double check to make sure there aren't any errors in the wiki's layout? I'm finding myself having to refresh the page multiple times for it to load properly. Thanks.--The Scourge 03:38, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

RE: So Edit

No, I'm from New York City. My girlfriend's the Canadian one. She's a real hoser, haha. Oh, and um... yeah! Dim Sum and all that good stuff!--The Scourge 07:17, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

Format/theme update 8/4/09Edit

Whatdya think? --Overworkedirish 09:37, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

  • Cool - I think you're right about putting the Template:Season1nav / Template:Season2nav at the bottom. What are your thoughts on the spot for guest stars and co-stars? Initially I thought we should leave main cast out of individual episode pages and just have them on the season page, but now I'm not so sure. I didn't realize how many cast members there would be under co-stars! --Overworkedirish 22:16, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
  • Also, all blood-red colors are now hexadecimal code #BB0000. Let me know if you think we should go darker. --Overworkedirish 22:16, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

Promotion Edit

Your contributions really proved how enthused you are about making this Wiki successful. For that, I'm promoting you to Bureaucrat. Along with Overworkediriah, we're really gonna make this one of the top Wiki's. Congrats, thank you, and enjoy!--The Scourge 01:56, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Can you change a picture Edit

This isn't that important but the picture of Sookie is a really bad picture lol, she looks fucked. i tried changing it but it just did not happen lol, could you please change it? if not don't worry about it, its not important but its just always bothered me cuz she is genuinely really hot. Badspeller11 23:24, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Sorry Edit

yeah sorry about the spelling i got spell check i ran in on the plot for "mine" and i think i got all of them, and yeah anything really. I'm trying to insert a synopsis box for 2x05 (i.e. one that has the episode title, air date etc.) but it won't work for me. What do I do? --Sfinn85

Thanks for your message re. the Rattray's article. I don't exactly know what happened as I was trying to add pictures to the character profiles and it deleted the whole article on me. :-(
Definitely won't happen again.--Sfinn85

Cast listEdit

Before you edit any more, let's talk about this in the forum - I'd post on it now, but I'm zonked for the night, man. We'll catch up on it soon. --Overworkedirish 10:24, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

'Season 2' episode list Edit

I was looking at the main page for 'Season 2' (the one with the episode guide and description of that episode):

and I'm trying to change the picture I used for episode 5 to the one that's actually on the episode guide page as it's the following episode that the picture that's currently there belongs to. How do I change it and make it the same size as the others?

When I clicked on the 'upload new file' button to change the picture it duplicated it so how do I delete those that I don't want? --Sfinn85 12:05, 20 August 2009 (UTC)Sfinn85

Way of contact Edit

Whether it's AIM, Yahoo, or MSN, (preferably the first two), e-mail me your contact info. We'll need to keep in constant touch, especially since occasional conference rooms might take place.--The Scourge 17:20, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

Forum topicsEdit

  • How did you get "Whats left to do?" listed on the Forum page? I just created a new topic, yet it doesn't show up on the list of forum topics. --Overworkedirish 15:20, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
  • Ah! Nevermind - figured it out. --Overworkedirish 15:23, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

User: Sfinn85 Edit

I've been considering making this user an administrator for quite some time now. He seems to be very enthusiastic about our episode and season articles. Maybe put him in charge of that area? What do you think?--The Scourge (talk) 23:27, September 20, 2009 (UTC)

RE: Congrats Edit

I noticed this yesterday whilst visiting the Family Guy wikia. I highly doubt it'll cause any negative impact. It's more looks like we've been accepted within the wikia community, in my opinion. This is yours and Overworkedirish's (wherever he may be) wikia too, so a congrats goes to both of you as well. Good job!--The Scourge (talk) 02:30, September 22, 2009 (UTC)

Pagetitle optimization Edit

Hi Tom. I'm Joe, a Wikia Staff member. I just wanted to give you a heads up on the edits I made to MediaWiki:Pagetitle and MediaWiki:Pagetitle-view-mainpage. We're putting a lot of effort into focusing on our vampire-themed wikis, and of the things we're focusing on is SEO (Search Engine Optimization). That's why I added the important search terms to those two files. Feel free to add a couple/few more terms if I missed any, and feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Cheers. JoePlay@fandom (talk) 19:35, September 22, 2009 (UTC)

Guidelines Edit

Alright... I'll stick to the seasonal sections, though I could've done the job myself instead of having the edit undone altogether. But don't worry... no hard feelings or anything.--Gonzalo84 04:55, September 30, 2009 (UTC)

Character template Edit

What I do not understand is why you undid the character template edit... its impossible to read anything.--Gonzalo84 04:56, September 30, 2009 (UTC)

Hi Tom, I'm Shawn, a member of Wikia's Entertainment Team - I work with Scarecroe and JoePlay, who you may have talked to before. I wanted to drop a quick note with you and the other admins that you guys have definitely made a great start on this wiki, and the Entertainment team is excited to have you guys working on such a great site. As you know, Wikia is in the midst of improving our best vampire media wikis, and I wanted to mention a few things I'd like to try that will improve this wiki.

One of the things I want to help out with is blogs - a fantastic step towards making users excited about them is to make them more visible, so I added a link to them in the top layer of the sidebar. I plan on writing a few myself, and we should think about placing either a blog feed or Recent Activity feed on the main page, both will help people excited about getting involved. To that end, I'd like to take a shot at making a main page redesign that's a little more inviting and eyecatching to new users, with some new layout and graphics. I can design a mockup and put it up on my sandbox before we make it live - is that cool? I think giving these a shot will help a lot. Shawn (talk) 22:53, October 2, 2009 (UTC)

Hey again, Tom, just an update on the main page - I reworked it a bit and added a few new templates, highlighting a visual character portal and blog list. One of the things I've been doing to promote the wiki has been to reach out to some professional True Blood bloggers and invite them to create a blog entry or two here and share a link back to their sites. Having a blog list on the main page will really help facilitate that! Please let me know what you think. Shawn (talk) 07:24, October 20, 2009 (UTC)

Hey, Tom Edit

I've noticed you've been seriously working your ass off recently. I don't know what got into you, but I'm loving the enthusiasm. Keep it up! By the way, have you heard anything from Overworkedirish? He seemed to have disappeared.--Jairo (talk) 02:05, October 3, 2009 (UTC)

Bubbler Cocoa Edit

Tom, since you blocked the person who was doing the spam edits before I had a chance to get to it, I don't think it'll be a problem any more. It was a good move, don't hesitate to block people being genuinely disruptive like that (it's what I always do!). Shawn (talk) 17:44, October 5, 2009 (UTC)

Unfortunately, no, there's no kind of higher up blocking function. The best solution is to just keep blocking the users as they spam, and revert changes. They'll get bored of defacing quicker than we get bored with maintaining our wikis. Shawn (talk) 20:10, October 5, 2009 (UTC)

Red ButtonsEdit

Hiya! They must have rolled out some new code today that negated the changes you guys made to your css file. I just tinkered with it a bit, so it should be red now. I think some of our cache servers are still catching up though, so it might take a few minutes to show up. Try resetting your browser (cache, history, etc.) and see if it's showing up for you. As for MediaWiki:Sf-link, that controls what the link in the header bar is called. The default is Share This Article, but it's unnecessarily long, especially on the fixed-width front page here, so I just made it Share. —Scott (talk) 02:06, October 16, 2009 (UTC)

Music page Edit

Terrific! I'm glad you approve. For the episodes on wiki that did list music, i took the information from there. For the rest, i went to the HBO site. — Game widow 21:05, November 1, 2009 (UTC)

Twitter/Facebook Edit

Do you have a Twitter or Facebook account set up for this wiki? I ask because I'm starting a twitter post called #WikiWednesday and I'll be using the main Wikia twitter account to post links to our wikis, so I'm encouraging any wiki that has a twitter account to do the same, maybe we can make #WikiWednesday a trending topic! Let me know if you have either set up so that I can be sure and join/follow. Thanks! Sena@fandom 21:56, December 13, 2009 (UTC)

RE: About Edit

I've been working double shifts for the past few months. A lot of layoffs have been happening and I was afraid I was next until they asked me to take over. It hasn't given me much time to do anything.--The Scourge (talk) 02:27, December 17, 2009 (UTC)

RE: Creation Edit

Hey, thanks for the heads up. I removed it, for now, until we get a more sensible idea of how it happens from the series itself. The majority of the section did indeed sound like it was made up along the way. We have no idea how it truly happens; if anyone tries to create it/bring it back, let them know we cannot go by stipulation alone.--The Scourge (talk) 19:01, December 20, 2009 (UTC)

New admin Edit

I'm glad you're able to keep an eye out for editors that'll help us move faster, but for future reference, unless I'm MIA for a certain period of time, can you try not to make any final decisions when it comes to promoting users without my word in it first? I'm probably asking for a lot, but you never know if I feel the opposite. Thanks. :) --The Scourge (talk) 01:11, December 22, 2009 (UTC)

It's gravy. I'm glad she's a part of the team now. Maybe she can do some work that I haven't been able to, but I will eventually. And for the record, replacement isn't necessary. I ain't going nowhere. :P--The Scourge (talk) 03:22, December 22, 2009 (UTC)

RE: Master sockpuppeter Edit

Like empty threats is gonna help his situation.--The Scourge (talk) 03:29, December 26, 2009 (UTC)

New SkinEdit

Hi, Tom, it's Shawn again, from Wikia Entertainment. I'm leaving a quick message with all the active admins - due to the upcoming start of the new season of True Blood, we're going to be putting together a new skin for this wiki, one that's a a big change and will be really interesting for both new and returning users. I'll let you guys know when I have something to check out! Shawn (talk) 22:20, March 22, 2010 (UTC)

Ister Gey Edit

I changed the Template:Cast background from black to grey (a5a5a5), so that the black text is actually legible. I also made this change on the Season 1, 2, & 3 page info tables for the same reason. I'd like to do the same for the (locked) Template:Character background, or come to an agreement on a legible color scheme. Just trying to "fix" a few pages where there was information that was unreadable without being highlighted. 04:15, April 4, 2010 (UTC)

Skin Edit

I've made the skin mostly black for you. I hope that's more to your liking — Game widow 22:17, April 15, 2010 (UTC)

Question for you Edit

A trade publication is writing a story about how user-generated articles are becoming more valuable than paid-for articles, and they wanted to know if we had any users who might be interested in talking to them about their experiences with Wikia. Is this something you would be interested in doing? If so could you please email me at sena at I'll need your Name, Email, Phone number and geographic location. Thanks for your time, and please let me know either way. Sena@fandom 16:56, May 17, 2010 (UTC)

a quick note from our PR person,

1) Wikia won't give personal contact info to a reporter. I can arrange an interview where we use a dial in number and everyone dials into the call. We do need their real name and most likely the city/state where they live. They may be asked their profession, but that can be vague ("I'm in finance." "I'm in education." etc..) 2) The interview will focus on why they like using Wikia sites and what motivates them, keeps them engaged, etc. 3) From a time investment standpoint, the call with me will be about 30 minutes, and the call with the reporter will take 15-20 minutes. 4) I will be on the call with the reporter and can "shield" them if needed. That said, I've worked with this reporter before, and find him to be professional and above board, and don't expect any probing questions. Plus, he's very positive about Wikia.

If this is OK with them, I can then spend time discussing the details of the interview via phone.

let me know if this is something you could help with. Sena@fandom 18:49, May 18, 2010 (UTC)

Awards Edit

We are going to get awards on the wiki. Super exciting. Once they're live, you and the other admins can customize them and upload pictures, and change the names to "True Blood" themed things. They're really cool, and I hope you like them as we are getting the special privilege of testing them to see what we think!! Please feel free to leave me any feedback you have on my talk page, and I'll pass it along. Sena@fandom 21:12, May 20, 2010 (UTC)

awards Edit

Sadly no, there isn't a way to make them retroactive. The other thing, is that if they were retroactive...the new people on the site would probably feel like there was no way for them to catch up with you old-timers..I mean...1,389 edits..that's pretty hard to fathom when you've just done your first edit. Sorry, I know this isn't the answer you wanted, but I hope you enjoy accumulating awards anyway. I'm sure you'll gather them up quickly with your edit history, especially since you'll have a new season to work with! Sena@fandom 23:10, May 22, 2010 (UTC)

Pam Edit

Does Pam appear in every novel of the series? If not in wich does she appear. Left4Deadseries FAN 15:08, May 2, 2011 (UTC)

I am just coming to say hi and to ask a question.

What are the criteria when adding pictures on wikia?  I just don't want to do anything wrong.
