New PollsEdit

Hey! Would you mind taking a look at and voting on the three new polls. Adamtoise and I thought that we should decide on a main antagonist since there are so many opinions on S4 (Marnie, Antonia), S5 (Lilith, Salome, Russell, Bill, Bud Dearborne and Sweetie even lol), S6 (Warlow, Sarah, Truman). We thought it would be less junky if we all decided on an antagonist. Tysonjackson (talk) 23:23, September 4, 2014 (UTC)

Re: PollsEdit

Lol, yeah. And it's on the Polls page. :D Tysonjackson (talk) 23:28, September 4, 2014 (UTC)

Also the reason I think Antonia should be listed as the main antagonist instead of Marnie is because 1. Antonia was the one who most of everything. She held Tara and the coven hostage, She led the attack on Festival of Tolerance, and the attack on the vampires in 4x07 (I think), she was the one who also led the coven during the Vampires/Witch war in Spellbound. 2. Marnie was revealed to be evil in 4x10, Antonia left in 4x11 and Marnie was killed in the end of that episode. She only really did anything in 4x12. Tysonjackson (talk) 23:38, September 4, 2014 (UTC)

Yes, but if it hadn't been for Marnie, Antonia would have never bothered anyone. Marnie channeled her, and awoke her essentially. QueenBuffy35px-Pink crown 23:44, September 4, 2014 (UTC)
I guess that's true. I guess they're at equal footing for the role. And what do you think about S6? Are you the one who voted Warlow? Tysonjackson (talk) 23:46, September 4, 2014 (UTC)

Sorry... I've been revising old edits. I could see getting rid of the {{-}} tags because they did spread the content a little far apart. The <br /> tags were to keep headers from running into the content sections from the section that proceed the violating sections. On smaller pages they were only to match the uniformity of larger pages by keeping content too close together... I only put the {{-}} tag before the Appearances header because a lot of the smaller pages fall victim to the header being separated from the Appearance tables when the Table of Contents are hidden. I felt the {{-}} tag below the Appearances table should be required to keep the default "See other wikis" content separated from the actual page content... But however. If you really think they need to go, I'll remove them all, even though, like I said, certain sections run together without the breaks. It was all just part of an effort to achieve a fluid consistency and cohesiveness. I already plan on removing the {{-}} tags, but if you don't want the <br /> tags either, I'll take care of them and just won't do it again. I do really hate seeing the Appearances header separated from the Appearances tables, though... But I promise I'll fix all occurrences. I don't want to... do anything that you don't want me doing... Adamantoise (talk) 23:48, September 4, 2014 (UTC)

I think the sections flowing together is better than having large gaps. Especially on pages that are quite long, it takes up less space if you have them together. Hope that makes sense. QueenBuffy35px-Pink crown 23:51, September 4, 2014 (UTC)
It does. That's why I was taking the {{-}} tags back out. The more I stuck in the more I realized I didn't really like them after all. What about biography sections where Seasons are back to back? I kind of like separating episode references with an H4, but when you use H3s for Season separation they appear a little too close to the Season info above, giving you almost no break between the text (making it appear to almost run together. Can I still put the <br /> tag between Season listings or just remove them all? Adamantoise (talk) 23:55, September 4, 2014 (UTC)
P.S. That's only because I took out tabber for Season listings, because it makes the page more comprehensive. Or longer, at least. But I still think they should be separated. That's up to you. Adamantoise (talk) 23:57, September 4, 2014 (UTC)

Maps to the RightEdit

Hi Buffy. The only reason I aligned the Cemetery/Sheriff's Office maps to the left were to keep them within the locations section, under the header. When the Table of Contents are hidden, the pictures, forced under the infobox when aligned to the right, no longer appear to be a part of the Location section, and thence appear to be jumbled between the two sections... They only remain a part of the section as long as the Table of Contents is open, but even then, with a lack of content above, the header is shrunk down to fit beside the infobox, still making the righthand aligned picture look jumbled between sections. I though they looked okay aligned to the left. Was there a specific reason why you moved them? Adamantoise (talk) 22:21, September 7, 2014 (UTC)

I understand that... When I took Psychology I learned that almost everyone focuses their attention first to the left, and then scans to the right. That's why I've been changing the layout of images through character biography sections to the right in each section (unless there are more than one image per section, than I stagger, from right to left to right). The maps, however, I experimented with, and realized that keeping them to the left kept them more consistently laid out within the section they were meant to modify. However. I know you'll always have the final say, so whatever you say goes... :) Adamantoise (talk) 00:33, September 8, 2014 (UTC)
I understand what you are saying, but people also read from left to right, and the image there breaks up the flow of the paragraph. -shrugs- I don't know, like I said, its just being consistent with the other pages. QueenBuffy35px-Pink crown 00:35, September 8, 2014 (UTC)

I saw you updated the Strange Love page. So you'll know, I already plan on going back through all of the episodes I have updated and removing tabber and changing the layout of the Memorable Quotes section and adding columns back into the cast listings. Please don't get mad at me because I've already realized a longer page, rather than a page fit into collapsible boxes, is a more definitive and comprehensive page. I was going for looks but now I'm going for looks and better comprehensiveness. I was just going to do that after I remove the "unneeded" line breaks from all pages they are currently a part of. Sorry... Adamantoise (talk) 00:56, September 8, 2014 (UTC)

It's alright! You were only trying something new. I just want this page back to the cohesive way it was. I know you'll help where you can. :) QueenBuffy35px-Pink crown 00:57, September 8, 2014 (UTC)

"uneeded external link"Edit

I noticed the link to Television Without Pity's 23-page recap of the episode was removed. Why? While I haven't been on TWoP for years, I was always partial to their recaps. They are definitive, insightful, full of background information, contain a ton of allusions, and a plethora of memorable dialogue/quotes. To cover as many pages as they do, they'd about have to be. The True Blood wiki's mission statement mentions wanting to cover everything relating to the series (which it should), but by removing a link to such comprehensive supplemental material, aren't we denying the fans the opportunity to learn or know everything? Eventually I want to feature a full transcript/walkthrough to each episode, but for now, it is so wrong to provide a link to such a lengthy analysis, especially one authored by a writer for major magazines and newspapers? Adamantoise (talk) 18:28, September 8, 2014 (UTC)

I've never linked external sites from pages, just for the sake of linking them. Usually they are reference pertaining to news or something. I mean, we block people for that very thing, "spamming to external sites". I don't know, I'm on the fence about it. They aren't really a "sister site" or an affiliate of ours. QueenBuffy35px-Pink crown 18:31, September 8, 2014 (UTC)
I'm certainly not trying to spam anything. And I certainly didn't link the page just for the sake of linking it... The recaps are just top-notch. I thought they would bring another level of completeness to the article. But I'll be happy to remove them... I certainly hope you wouldn't think about blocking me just for trying to ensure that the pages were covered completely. Like I said, they just provide an alternate level of completeness by the inclusion of insightful background information and allusions not normally caught. But I'll be happy to remove them... Adamantoise (talk) 18:54, September 8, 2014 (UTC)
Well, we want to do our best and have editor's remain here, and want to edit here, rather than going to an external site for their information. If that makes sense. QueenBuffy35px-Pink crown 19:33, September 8, 2014 (UTC)
It does. Really, I'd like to incorporate all of the uncaught allusions, more memorable quotes/dialogue, etc., from the recaps, into the articles here. Really, I don't even like including references on pages, as long as the info is factual, because, personally (and I guess, like you), I would rather the site be fully contained, without the need for external information. I'll remove them when I remove tabber. What do you think about the possibility of complete episode transcriptions, perhaps in the form of pictorial walkthroughs? Adamantoise (talk) 20:08, September 8, 2014 (UTC)

When you get time, just put the info from that page onto ours :) And do you mean recap like this? GoT Recap? I certainly don't have a problem with that. QueenBuffy35px-Pink crown 20:13, September 8, 2014 (UTC)

Nice example. Yeah, pretty much something like that. I know the episodes have a pretty detailed recap as they are, but I was thinking of maybe including a transcription, also. Kind of like the entire script of the episode, typed up, organized by section, and accompanied by both scene recap summation as well as plenty of pictures. I don't know. Maybe a thought for something we can work on later down the road? :) Adamantoise (talk) 20:34, September 8, 2014 (UTC)
I noticed The Vampire Diaries have transcriptions. Perhaps we can add transcripts like this, but incorporate recaps like the ones on Game of Thrones with a whole lot of pictures. Maybe a thought for later down the road? Adamantoise (talk) 13:53, September 9, 2014 (UTC)

Looks like a big undertaking, but definitely doable if one day you want to make it happen. :) QueenBuffy35px-Pink crown 15:47, September 9, 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for the support! It's definitely a big undertaking, but hopefully as you've seen from what I've already done as part of my alphabetical swipe of the wiki, I'm more than up for the job! I just needed your approval first! :) I want to do transcripts, recaps, and a pictorial walkthrough all in one, for each episode. (I have done a detailed analysis of the movie I told you about, Nightmare on the 13th Floor, which is basically 100 printed pages devoted to 85 minutes worth of movie. Transcript, recap, analysis and pictorial walkthrough all in one.) I'll work on a sample of "Strange Love"... I think you'll like it when I'm done. We can maybe have small infoboxes incorporated as characters are introduced, interwiki links to article pages and so much more! It would definitely provide a new level of comprehensiveness and giving a True Blood experience that you won't find anywhere else! And I hope you understand, I really don't like External Links. I've always thought the site itself should be fully sustained and self contained. I want people to receive the most complete True Blood experience ever, without having to go anywhere else, because they have everything they could ever possibly want to know, or need to know, about the series right here. You're right. They did need to go, but I'll definitely work on incorporating all of the background material and allusions. I'm working on reformatting the series' finale chat transcription from the chat we all had the other night. I also have a few episodes I have to remove breaks and tabber from. And then I still have a few other pages I need to modify. But I'll be working on the transcript in the meantime~! Adamantoise (talk) 23:29, September 9, 2014 (UTC)

Transcripts, Companion Websites and Templates, oh my!Edit

Hey Buffy! Wanted to discuss a few things with you...

Transcripts - As you have probably noticed, I am finally finished with the Strange Love Transcript. I'm not going to do mini character infoboxes just yet. I'll put that idea in the back of my mind. I thought about using the {{CharPortalAAA}} template but just wasn't sure if that's the look I was going for. I just added the characters involved in each scene in two columns, in order of their appearance. It looks pretty good that way, I think. I eventually want to add more screenshots, and the scene synopses come from the episode synopsis section. What do you think about the page, though? Visually, I know it is somewhat lackluster, but definitely has potential, and any ideas you can think of to improve the look of the page would be much appreciated. And if you really don't mind me working on them, I would love to add transcripts for every episode, as well.
Companion Websites - All good things eventually come to an end. It may not be for a year, it may not be for 10, but having worked on custom websites for almost 15 years, I have seen MANY good websites come to an end - especially when it comes to television or video game companion websites after the television show is long off the air and the video game is nothing more than a memory. For True Blood, HBO has created several companion websites that have served alongside the show for years, providing bonus content that helped to supplement the main content within the show. But I know eventually they will go away, and all pictures, videos, and blog posts will be deleted, banished to the realm of internet limbo. I have most all (and can get the rest hopefully fairy easy) of the content off of all of the sites, and would love to incorporate all of the content within the wiki. Perhaps under the Category:Websites? One example is (whose page name could be the same). We could make tables that organize all of the blog posts in sortable or selectable menu boxes. We can arrange them by month, and when a month is selected, all of the blog posts (exact wording, all pictures and videos) would be displayed, separated by H2 headers, and directly under a special licensing template (similar to the one I made for the transcriptions). Other sites, like could have a page linking to all other pages (similar to standard site structure) where the site's content could be preserved.

This is more for archival, preservation, and reference purposes. I truly think the content should be added before it is no longer available. What do you think?
Templates - The simpliest of today's concerns... A fix you'll probably just say take care of. I've corrected minor tweaks on some of the templates, and thought about fixing the appearances ones too, but figured I'd ask you first. Here's the problem. The Appearances tables are awesome, but when the three longest episode titles in the Season 5 Appearances tables are illuminated, the columns are too small, and the text forces it to be broken up onto two lines, giving you either a 4- or 6-line table, when all other seasons, when bolded, still remain a 3-line table. It's a simple fix. Just expand the box to the width of the main text field then take the pixel difference and divide it equally among the three columns. It would just have to be done on all seven appearances tables in order to ensure uniformity and consistency. What's your take on this one? You want me to just widen the tables? This would, aesthetically, give the Season 5 table a much more cohesive look when juxtaposed against the six other tables...

Thanks again! Adamantoise (talk) 03:33, September 11, 2014 (UTC)

Templates are fixed. They were set to 90%. I initially changed season 5 to 100 but it seemed a little too big (even though it was now the same size as the header and the categories box) so I shrunk it down to 95%. There isn't much cellpadding to the left or right of the text, but all three of the longest titles can now illuminate without stretching the table height! It does make the section a little more uniform! Thanks! :) Adamantoise (talk) 04:22, September 11, 2014 (UTC)

Multiple PostsEdit

Um, lol, did you mean to post the same message about infoboxes (templates) 6 times? I assume you didn't. I went on and was like "whoa". They're dated differently, that's the strange thing! I think the wiki's acting up. The Post comment and reply buttons on the Sookie wiki aren't working. They might be updating the software or something. General server maintenance... something.

Now I know it is. Tried to post the above and got a message saying the site was having technical difficulties. Luckily I was able to press back and come right back here, where I typed this, and am then planning on copying the text, just in case it still doesn't go through, so that I may paste it back here when the difficulties go away. Adamantoise (talk) 04:02, September 11, 2014 (UTC)

Lol, mine did too! Guess it went through even though it kept saying it couldn't do it. Gotta love technology! Adamantoise (talk) 04:07, September 11, 2014 (UTC)

QueenBuffy,I respect you as an administrator, you have the right to not consider Willa and other vampires like Jessica,James, villains and to delete it if I mark them like that, if you think it's unrightful.I don't wanna go up against the rules of this Wiki. But,if you don't mind I should like to talk about that and ask you some questions that I don't fully understand.Since when is defending, and even become part of a species of serial killers(because that's what vampires are, even the"likeable"ones)who set innocent humans(and faeries)on their menu card not considered as villainous and since when is that not a threat to humans(and fearies)? And since when is someone who puts her own( ex) father (who loves her very much) a knife in his back because he only wants to protect the humans from being eaten considered as a good person? And other persons who are also considered as"good guys" like Hoyt,Holly,Ginger,Eric,Tara,Pam,Bill...are actually marked as antagonists so shouldn't you correct that too? Sorry I don't want to offend you but it's just a question.

Sorry about that. I really do hate blocking people unless I know they are absolutely going to be a problem. The last guy I blocked added a bunch of gibberish to the Roman Master page and then signed it "hacked by". I locked the page to prevent recreation. I figured anyone who would type "hacked by" needed to go... I should have realized that the last case of vandalism was from someone who was only here to cause problems... I don't know if you read the page history, but he changed the h3 header "Season 7" to read "PENIS". Yeah I guess that was an obvious sign that he needed to be blocked. I apologize I didn't take affirmative action. From now on I won't let that happen again. Please forgive me. Adamantoise (talk) 21:55, September 15, 2014 (UTC)

Yes, we have zero tolerance here. If you see anything like that, it is obvious they are blatantly vandalizing, and should be blocked immediately. Thanks. QueenBuffy35px-Pink crown 02:21, September 16, 2014 (UTC)

Could we please affiliate with my Pretty Little Liars wiki? I am working hard to rebuild it and affiliations would help get users. w:c:prettylittleliars Tysonjackson (talk) 21:12, September 17, 2014 (UTC)

Sure! I'd say if they are at least over 300 pages, we should add them. We need to be somewhat discriminatory, but I think they would fit. QueenBuffy35px-Pink crown 22:38, September 17, 2014 (UTC)

Timeline Chronology and Series ContinuityEdit

Hi, Buffy! I know most of the Season 7 related pages were updated to say Thanksgiving Dinner 2014. A user changed one page to 2015, giving his reasoning, and it got me thinking who was right. I think the dinner did occur in 2015. Please read this page below and give me your thoughts on it. If you agree, I'll update all occurrences to reflect the new date. User_blog:Adamantoise/Timeline_Chronology_and_Series_Continuity - Adamantoise (talk) 00:36, October 16, 2014 (UTC)

Religious Views sectionEdit

Hey! It's been a while. How have you been? And I wanted to ask you a question. What do you think about in the Infoboxes like under profession maybe, having a section for Religions? For most shows I'd say no but on this one most of the characters are religious in some way. Sookie, Bill, Sarah, Lilith, Salome, Jessica, Hoyt, Arlene are all Christians. Tara's an atheist. I think it'd be very informative for people who are curious. :) Tysonjackson (talk) 20:33, December 30, 2014 (UTC)

Man, I'm not Buffy, but I don't think she would object to adding "Religion" to the infobox. I hope not. I went ahead and added "Religion - Christian †" to the above characters and Jessica's family, and "Religion - Atheist" to Tara's. You're right about being a little more informative. It makes the tables slightly more definitive. If Buffy doesn't like the change, I'll remove all occurrences. - Adamantoise (talk) 01:43, December 31, 2014 (UTC)
Sure thing. As long as it is pertinent to a large number of the characters, I don't see any trouble with that :) QueenBuffy35px-Pink crown 23:33, December 31, 2014 (UTC)

Hey! Would you mind jumping on chat for a moment? I mentioned something to Adamantoise that i'd like to hear your thoughts on. Tysonjackson (talk) 01:34, February 27, 2015 (UTC)

Infoboxes, Fonts, and New Orleans, oh my!Edit

Hi, Buffy! I wanted to ask you a few things. First off, I've been working on trying to add the True Blood font to all of the headers here on the wiki and I was wondering if you see them? I've been working with Community Central to resolve the issue, as apparently only half of the users that come see it, and I was wondering if it might have something to do with the True Blood font being installed on the users computer. Also, can you see the SVM font used on the Southern Vampire Mysteries wiki? I hope you can (and that everyone can) because it really makes the page come alive! Also, I don't know if you have been reading mine and Tyson's posts, but I've been working on updating all of the Infoboxes here and I want your opinion: User:Adamantoise/Sandbox I built a matching one for the SVM wiki, also. Tell me what you think or what I need to change! Finally, I've been wanting to write you ever since we chatted last month. Or my dad did. He's really into all of those sci-fi and supernatural type programs and when I mentioned you lived in the French Quarter he was extremely interested in knowing if you have experienced any kind of paranormal activity while there, and do you have any cool stories relating to the French Quarter's haunted past. Well, I won't bug you too much. Thanks! - Adamantoise (talk) 01:17, March 20, 2015 (UTC)

Fonts and the French QuarterEdit

TBWiki-New fonts-001
Oh wow that is so cool! Well, not really, but it kind of is. I (and the rest of my family) definitely take the paranormal seriously and I definitely believe in spirits, ghosts, talismans and everything else of a supernatural nature. My dad said that it sounds like yes, something is definitely trying to get in, and that your talisman must be working. And he says yes, it is very serious. He used to... fiddle somewhat into things of a darker nature and believes wholeheartedly in the powers that be. Not saying what he's seen, but he hasn't... practiced in almost 30 years. The military, along with the beliefs that already run rampant through our bloodline, kind of... altered his perceptions a little! Great story, though! I've always been fascinated with the old west and the Time Life books I love so much talk a lot about the French who moved into Louisiana, bring with them all of the hoodoo, voodoo that the area knows today. I read somewhere else once that they possibly brought vampirism with them when they came, but that's open to speculation. On a lighter note, that is so messed up about the fonts! I took of screenshot of how it appears on my end. Now I'm just trying to ensure that everyone can see the wiki in all it's glory. The fonts really make the page come along. I added the Itchyhouse font to the SVM wiki, also, and it really looks good (even though I eventually want to try and add a border to make the font stand out a bit more - that's why I added the shadows) But I'm going to figure it out! I would ask about the infoboxes, but they really only pop when the custom fonts are utilized. I want to ensure complete font uniformity among all users as I've been told that while some users see our headers in Arial, some see them in Times New Roman! Eeeeewwww! I want everyone to be able to see the wiki exactly the same. And, like I said, the custom fonts really make the page come alive! - Adamantoise (talk) 01:59, March 20, 2015 (UTC)
Wow! Now that's some history. Wow. Louisiana sounds like a cool place! I already watch those gator hunters and that Buyin' the Bayou, lol! So down to earth! One of these days, I'd love to come. I added another declaration to the css to see it would help the fonts, but I'm thinking I might have to contact staff and get the webfonts extension enabled. I think they quit doing it because of copyright violations. Do you have the font installed on your system? Having it might help, but then again, I can see the font on my phone, and I know my phone doesn't have any of the two True Blood fonts installed on it, so I'm not sure how me and Tyson can see it and nobody else can. If you don't have the font, I uploaded it to a special directory on my personal website: Maybe downloading it will help? And do you have Itchyhouse, the Southern Vampire Mysteries font? I have it and the other True Blood also available. Eventually I plan on adding a section on "Typography" to the True Blood page as I have several interviews with the official font designers that have really cool information I want to incorporate. Might include a character map? What do you think? - Adamantoise (talk) 02:44, March 20, 2015 (UTC)
Hey, I changed a bunch of stuff! Can you see the TB font now!? - Adamantoise (talk) 22:56, March 22, 2015 (UTC)
Ignore the last message. Unless you have the font on your local machine, the fonts won't work for at least a week. I think I found the problem and will have it resolved as soon as I can. - Adamantoise (talk) 03:36, March 23, 2015 (UTC)
As for the the infoboxes... I don't know if you read the intro to my page, but I've always been adamantly against changing anything about the infoboxes, and in a way I still feel that way. I think I'm just going to add to the existing infoboxes. You can read all about it here: User:Adamantoise/Sandbox. If I could incorporate the font as header imagery throughout the font, it would really help set them off, eliminating the new for different templates. I moved the template I was working on below the newer one. - Adamantoise (talk) 00:01, March 23, 2015 (UTC)
That is so cool! On them shows they pull him in with the gaff and then shoot him. They get the close range shot (I've been thinking about wanting to do that myself!) but I guess it was safer to do it from a distance. I was going to ask if he was struggling and hard to contain, but rereading your message I noticed you said shot him from a distance so I rewrote the last sentence. Illegal? Was that because you didn't tag him? Or because it was out of season? When is gator season? And how come you only eat the tail? What's it taste like. I keep hearing chicken. I've worked in every department in the grocery store (was even manager of the dairy department) and when I worked in the seafood department I notice that they had Alligator meat, but it was only a "seasonal" item. I loved the crab cakes but never got to try the gator! I would though. (Sounds like a date if I ever get to LA! - The state, not the city! lol!) Don't be hard on yourself. You said he was "good eatin'" and that's all that counts! Awesome story! - Adamantoise (talk) 02:12, March 24, 2015 (UTC)
Hi Buffy! Please forgive my last message. I knew what you meant. There was so much seriousness I was trying to lighten the mood. I do know the depression you speak of... almost everything I own, including my prize possession - my Harley, is in the pawn shop. I haven't rode in almost 2 years. I'm about stir crazy, but I know things are looking up. Hey I did a bunch of stuff - can you see the fonts now??? I've tested them in Chrome, IE, and mobile, and, at least on my end, they seem to be working... so far anyway. - Adamantoise (talk) 01:47, March 31, 2015 (UTC)
I just don't get it everything was working great yesterday and now its not wanting to work on mobile what the heck? - Adamantoise (talk) 11:43, March 31, 2015 (UTC)
I got it. It was definitely a learning experience, but I realized the errors of my way - and even picked up a few CSS secrets during the process. Now that they work (both here and on SVM), I'm not messing with them anymore. Well, at least if I do I'll pay a little more attention to syntax and variable transclusions. Yea! At least you can see them on all major browsers and mobile. Not on the mobile view, per se, but if you click on "Full Site" it will allow you to view the fonts on Android 2.2 or higher. Yea! Whew. That's a relief... (The only thing I still have to do is write a formal letter to the font maker requesting a license to use it. heh... I'm hoping he will grant it out of the goodness of his heart being a fan and all, but I would gladly pay for a license to use it here. Might have to do that anyway because some of the character names use special glyphs that are only available in the purchased version of the font. Just know, though, I love this wiki so much I would gladly pay for a license to be able to use the font here. It helps the wiki come alive. IMHO, of course!) - Adamantoise (talk) 04:49, April 1, 2015 (UTC)

The Queen's a Culinary Connoisseur Consuming Cajun CuisineEdit

The gator sounds awesome. I definitely want to try some now! I have heard so much about the food you refer to. Alas, the closest I've gotten is that Zatarain's New Orleans style in the frozen section. I do enjoy the Dirty Rice from Bojangles, and have made some pretty good frozen bagged jambalaya. I also enjoy the Cajun seasonings you can buy, but that's really about all I can claim. I think I did eat some homemade gumbo years ago and from best recollection it was pretty good. I would love to try some of everything one of these days! Where else have you lived? Ohio and Louisiana? Anywhere else? I've been in North Carolina for almost a quarter of a century but spent almost a decade in California, where I was born. And I, personally, enjoy various types of seafood. My parents are adamantly against seafood and will only eat a little once, maybe twice a year. Shame. I complain all the time. Finally got to make a tuna casserole last month that I had been wanting to make for some time, so that was nice. Usually it has to be fish sticks or those soft boneless fish patties. You're right about how fresh and frozen can never compare. I haven't fished in awhile but personally enjoy that too. Fresh fried is always awesome. And I don't blame you about the frog legs. One of my sister's boyfriends really, really enjoys frog's legs (he goes gigging all the time - I think that's what he called it). I've never had any, and am kind of indifferent about wanting to trying any, but, eh, to each his own. Maybe one day...!? :) - Adamantoise (talk) 03:41, March 25, 2015 (UTC)

Oh, you like Zatarans too? Cool. I thought you were going to be like "can't none of that frozen crap touch the real stuff!" but you weren't. Whew. I do love to cook, grill and bake so I'll have to try making a pot. Rue as in pronounce the "R" or like the "roll your tongue 'cause it's the French word for street"? More than likely the former. I just wanted to make sure. I took years of French in high school... In fact, I loved the books so much I've been buying copies of the complete course online. It's a big set, but alas it was also replaced years ago. Tony Chacheres? No, I'll have to look for that brand. Unfortunately (puts his head down) I've been using McCormicks (although one of our local grocery stores has a cheaper store brand version that is just as good). Froggin'! That's it. He builds gigs to go froggin'. lol. Wow. Yeah, you've definitely been around! I didn't quite get the "From Houston, I moved to TX." I figured Houston thought so arrogantly about themselves that they consider themselves as their own individual state! :) Bi-polar? In today's society? Hell, we're all bi-polar. In fact my whole family could be spokespeople for the bi-polar line of shirts and bumper stickers and whatnot that my dad copyrighted back years ago. As for profession, it definitely takes a special person to do what you do. A rally in DC huh? Thinking about stopping by Rockingham? Home of the Rock! lol. Yeah, we definitely learn more and more about ourselves as we get older. I'm always smacking my head and saying "Man if I could just go back and know what I know now..." I'm glad you found purpose! I know I have one, too, but right now I've grown to not know what it is. I'm content just building houses, riding my Harley and working on the wiki. Being here has become my purpose. And you're not laying nothing on me. I personally enjoy Jack Daniels (got a nice little collection of stuff!) so I can't say much about drinking to the bottom of the bottle. Only that it's not exactly a purpose, but an added bonus to help deal with the hell life puts us through. Haven't been able to get any in awhile (damn economy) but I definitely get a few Budweisers whenever I can (here lately only about once a week, if that). Glad you found something to make you feel good! Like I said in chat, I love this wiki so much I've read back through almost all of the logs and talk pages and whatnot, and I remember reading something about you having been in an accident and that the passion and time you were putting into the wikis were helping you rehabilitate quicker. I know that as the series died off and interests shifted into new shows and series, so did a person's gusto towards that which once provided great satisfaction and a sense pride. We all search for a "raison d'être"... a certain "joie de vivre" unmatched in words. One day, at least I'm trying to use all of my power to make it happen, I will find tranquility. A peaceful and serene existence where I can live in serenity and feel completely fulfilled. I hope you can find yours, too, and it seems like you're well on your way. Nothing wrong with Depression or Anxiety, either. I think when the economy fell we all got depressed. I was making about $2000 a month and now I'm scrimping and scraping just to pay bills. I'm sick of it and strive every day to find absolution - some sort of solace for my soul. It's changed me completely although I still cling to the dreams of a better tomorrow that has yet to come to fruition. And we are all effin' crazy. Especially us carpenters. But you're right! Artists seem to have it a little worse! I feel for ya on that aspect! ;) - Adamantoise (talk) 03:24, March 27, 2015 (UTC)
Yeah, I love to ride. Rode a Honda for 5 years before I could finally get a Harley but only ended up riding for a year before I had to pawn it to save our electric from getting shut off. Same as my guns, my thick figaro and a few other things. I could go fix up an old dilapidated barn to get my bike back but I'd rather pay cash. Too much work and I gotta salvage material off of other old buildings that done fell apart. Plus I ain't got no time to be doing no free work. I stay so tired working all the time just to pay bills. It's really bumming me out but I know things'll get better. I WILL get all my stuff back this year... come hell or high water. Honestly, no I never really got into SoA believe it or not. My sister's a huge fan, and I have a couple SoA t-shirts, but I never really started watching it. I think I refused because I was always bummed out that I wasn't riding. But one of these days, after this wiki is complete, I might watch it at least once. Things will get better. For both of us. And that's so cool about the fonts! - Adamantoise (talk) 03:09, March 31, 2015 (UTC)
