Wes Brown, born James Wesley Brown, on January 26, 1982 in Fort Worth, Texas, is an American actor who plays the role of Luke McDonald on the HBO original series True Blood. Making his debut on the episode "Keep This Party Going" in the series' second season, Wes plays the role of a member of the Soldiers of the Sun. Jason Stackhouse's new roommate at The Fellowship of the Sun Leadership Camp, Wes plays a recurring role through the same season, and, killing himself with a suicide bomb, meets an untimely demise in the Season 2 episode "Timebomb". He was seen once more, in a flashback on the subsequent episode, "I Will Rise Up", in the same season.
In the Houma Courier, Wes talks about his roots in Louisiana before he moved to L.A., his transition from model to actor and his enjoyment and surprise of his role on True Blood. Wes Brown started out as a model and in the article he talked about how modeling was a gateway to acting. Brown said, he moved to L.A "to test the waters" and he was more lucky than most actors who spend sometimes years trying to find an agency and management to which he replied: "I was very fortunate."
